i love the idea of reader fighting with everything they’ve got only to be met with… well michael: someone who is used to such violence, it being the one of the only things he’s ever known. there was no winning there, which makes the reading experience that much more exciting! (will the reader escape? no. how will michael catch them? easily. how hard will the reader fight? hard, but it won’t be enough for someone like him.)

i also love the dichotomy of his gentleness vs his violence. he calls reader little mouse (which is definitely mocking now that i’m thinking of it, but it’s a term of endearment nonetheless), gently petting over them while blocking their airways, kissing their forehead, holding them up after the struggle is over… the yanderism is so perfectly well written and portrayed!

i could go on and on and on but ill leave with this: i absolutely loved the visual of reader biting michael’s hand and the line that follows sometime later: you regret biting michael, consuming him like that. FUCK. the reader has part of michael inside of them now. which horrifies them but :) excites me 😃 this piece was so perfect; i’ll be thinking about it for days

kaiser and his relationship to closeness is so... so fascinating to me. also horny. horny and fascinating. because all kaiser really knows is violence (whether that is physical like we see with his father or the emotional violence kaiser inflicts on ness). in snowblind, reader isn't really Aware to the extent of kaiser's lack of understanding of relationships outside of violence. like yes we the literal reader know that the 'you' reader is destined to be found and lose whatever fight transpires because we know the extent of how warped kaiser is by his own experience with violence

i REALLLLLY loved writing kaiser uncomfortably tender given what he is actually carrying out. like he's not being gentle to comfort you or himself, he's being a little sweet to throw you off kilter and make breaking you down more fun. kaiser is an emotional sadist never4get!!!

and the BITING!!! it's such like!! desperate act on reader's part. it's the only real moment of control they have during the entire fic and it's immediately met with an appropriate consequence (kaiser almost choking them out) and personal disgust over the act itself. there's so much internal going on for the reader then, they really are desperate to get some upper hand in the situation even if they know by that point that kaiser is very much going to win

soo had Midnight been the main antagonist of arc 3, what would have been her motive behind wanting to destroy the clans?

like reclaiming the land for all badgers or something else ? i find her character so so so interesting and i really wish they did more with her. and just the thought of her moving these little cat pawns around on a gameboard just tickles my brain in a special way
