Early morning Yoyu head cannons.

Yosuke studied Music in college, mostly due to interest but because he had a genuine talent for instruments, once he got to playing them. He’s actually part of a jazz called Hibiki Tone and teaches music at Yasogami High School.

Yu Narukami studies Psychology, hoping to become a counselor for students. After his studies, he returned to Inaba and worked as a counselor at Yasogami High School.

Yosuke still calls Yu “partner” as an affectionate name.

They had their first date at Junes at the same table they first started meeting at. The rest of the investigation team surpassed them by decorating it with candles and serving them a multi-course meal, with steak of course.

Yu is The Tank and Yosuke is The Healer.

In addition to having a sensitivity to tofu Yosuke is allergic to strawberries.

Yu strongly dislikes the texture of whipped cream.

Yosuke, after doing some serious growing up, apologizes to Kanji for teasing him about his sexuality. Kanji is actually the first to be formally told about him and Yu dating, which excites Kanji because he won a bet with Naoto on if they’d ever get together. They refer to each other as “brother”, though Kanji still affectionately calls him senpai.

Yu’s parents were overjoyed when Yosuke and him started dating .Yu’s mother affectionately refers to Yosuke as “her new favorite son” because he always brings her stuff from Junes.

Yosuke identifies as gay, after truly coming to terms with why he treated girls how he did and why he acted the way he did. Yu identifies as pansexual, but admits that Yosuke is the most attractive to him regardless of identity or gender, simply because he loves him.

Yu likes to cuddle a lot, and was initially very shy to do so until Yosuke encouraged him and told him it was fine.

Yu is incredibly honest.

Yosuke is incredibly smart, he’s just also lazy.

Their first kiss was initiated by Yosuke. Yu had just come back to Inaba during his third year summer vacation and everyone met him at the station. Yosuke, in a moment of elation, threw himself into Yu’s arms and kissed him, right there in front of everyone else, much to even Yu’s surprise. 

Yosuke actually kept the schoolgirl uniform from the beauty pagent, and after growing out his hair past his shoulders, wore it for Yu with his make-up done by Rise. Needless to say, they didn’t sleep that night.

Yu used to run away a lot as child because he wanted his parents attention. Unfortunately, they never noticed, despite loving him a lot.

Despite being attracted to them and helping them, Yu prefers dogs over cats.

Yu commissioned Kanji to design Yosuke and his wedding outfits.

Yu and Yosuke eventually move into a store with an apartment above and one up a music store together that does well.

Yosuke still visits Saki’s grave site, and the anniversary of her death, visits her family. They consider him family now, realizing that he truly felt bad for her passing.

Yu still has his glasses from the TV world, but replaced the lenses with regular glass ones for reading.

Yosuke and Teddie are still close friends: in fact, they visit one another regularly through the television in the living room.

Yosuke was the one to propose: he set up a small, private concert at the Amagi Inn and dinner for two. When Yu bit into a piece of ganmadochi, he bit down on a ring, and instantly started crying, realizing what Yosuke was doing. Of course, he said yes.

Yu likes having his hair brushed by Yosuke.

Yu has a scar on his right shoulder from the fight with Yosuke’s Shadow. Each time they change clothes in the morning, Yosuke kisses it.

Yosuke actually does most of the cooking, even though Yu is capable. He finds it soothing.

Yosuke is very domestic.

Yu formerly had a strained relationship with his parents due them constantly being gone. In his third year, however, they surprised him by saying they wanted to stay more local because they realized it was hurting him.
