March for Science Honolulu
In this report, I interview student activists and a science advocacy group to find out why Nestlé’s water bottling operation is detrimental to the ecology and California. Nestlé pays an absurdly low yearly fee of about $524 for pumping out 68,000 gallons of water a day in drought-stricken California. That water is sold to Californians at a tidy profit. We speak with Aaron Mandel, a University of Redlands senior and activist, and Ileen Anderson, a media contact at the Center for Biodiversity.
