Time for another round of Fun Facts about dragons from my lair!
This time the rng has chosen Yrtti:
*He’s a poet by trade and by nature. Yrtti is all about the Aesthetique, and he left his birthplace in the Ashfall Waste to travel to the Viridian Labryinth, in search of more beautiful and inspiring surroundings.
*Being a native Fire flight Coatl, he really feels the cold (then why is he so naked looking shhh), but he has some ability to generate heat. He can’t breathe fire exactly, but he can have smoke coming out of his nostrils!!
*Fire dragons are described as “passionate and intense” and this certainly fits Yrtti. It is almost embarrassingly easy to wind him up over even seemingly trivial matters. He is dedicated to his craft and spends a lot of time studying old masters of literature and song. He has strong opinions about every poet ever and he will fite u m8
*Yrtti is quite vain and has a tendency to appear self-centered. This has the tendency to have his work be seen as quite pretentious rather than as heart-felt and sincere as he would prefer to be seen
*He recites all his poems in native Coatl, being proud of his heritage and not wanting the language to go unappreciated with the increasingly common dragon tongue becoming the go-to language across breeds.
Because native Coatl is of course, humming sounds, his poems often end up sounding like songs to other breeds. Since there are few Coatls in the Sunflower Fields Clan, most of the dragons who listen to him have no idea what he is singing about, but enjoy the performances none the less (I imagine his recitals to sound like Gregorian Chanting. That deep of a voice, that serious sounding. lol)
*Occasionally he will team up to put on a show with Easar doing performative dance in the background
*Yrtti is a g1 dragon, who I got by trading a dragon I had hatched and didn’t like myself (don’t remember her colours exactly but it was something like white/a blue/sky I think?). I THINK he started off as a tundra. I gened and breedchanged him. I don’t like Coatls that much, but this was his best scry (it was 2 years ago), so I went for it. I do so love his colours <3
*I breed him with his mate Greippi, my other G1 Coatl (gasp! horror! yeah I have bred G1s..). So if you are in the lookout for a G2 beachy/rivery looking Coatl, hmu :-)
*I may replace his bar with something else at some point (he scries REALLY nice with Savannah...)
*His name means “herb” in Finnish (if google translate is to be believed). It’s pronounced kind of like “oo-ert-ti”
