Hello, I have a question? Its my first try and I want to be clear. By submission you mean whole wishlist with character references + artworks, or just right now simple submission for admins to see if art quality level is acceptable, and then submissions will be edited with wishlist?

We’re only requiring you to submit a piece of artwork to show that you intend to draw your half! Last year we had some people who did not give their half of the trade (and who would not respond to our reminders), so we’re trying to be a bit more careful this time of who can participate! 

Skill level does not matter but we prefer if all participants put forth effort into their gift.

I noticed that the way of animation(especially in: clothes, fire, and shadows) in disney song Hellfire, is similar to your 'flow' of lines and shapes. Also a few compositions looks like, you could use them in your artworks. I'm curious if The Hunchback of Notre Dame leave a trace in your style or is just a coincidence?

Oh my gosh, Hunchback is my favorite Disney movie of all time!! And naturally, ‘Hellfire’ is absolutely one of my top musical numbers hahaha~

In actuality I’ve never sat down looked at the movie or that particular scene for my own art, it’s been a few years since I watched the film. But I think you’re on point- I may not have realized it, but it has totally impacted how I choose to handle objects and composition in my illustrations! Hunchback was one of the films I constantly watched. I found other numbers/scenes like ‘God Help the Outcasts’ super beautiful, but above all else I totes relished ‘Hellfire’. I may not have understood the themes of the movie entirely back then, but I always found so much enjoyment in the animation~

Being someone who grew up in the Disney Renaissance, and the mid 90′s in general where 2D animation was booming, I’m definitely in the realm of artists that find a lot of inspiration from animated films. So totally yes- Hunchback, being one of my most faves, definitely has a part in my style as it is now!
