yubaewatanabe replied to your post://The word ‘colonel’ makes me angry. I always read...
((I get so angry about that, too, omg How do you even get kernel from that?? Like it literally makes no sense I’m sorry))
((I have yet to meet one person that thinks the pronunciation of colonel makes sense and is a good idea.))
{ The sudden grasp of Yumiko’s slim fingers on her wrist surprised Yubae, however she complied, following after the other woman towards her room. “Yumiko-san,” she starts, “You have casual wear hidden?” This new revelation intrigued the tayuu, though she wasn’t particularly surprised, either. Yumiko did seem to be the type that would hide clothing and experience life as others outside of the hanamachi would. A bold character, she was, and Yubae couldn’t help but to feel a pang of sadness at the reminder that she was too reserved, to committed to rules and orders to experience life in all it’s glory. A sigh.
Of course, with that also came a reminder that Yumiko’s idea of adventure could certainly provide cause for concern. Now — Yubae didn’t know for sure what her fellow tayuu had in mind, but they had spent enough time with one-another in Shimbara for Yubae to know that Yumiko had a tendency to have no regard for rules all of the time. She was the type to live how she wanted, not how she was expected — though this may be an admirable quality, it was becoming increasingly concerning for Yubae — a much more reserved character. Most of the time, at least.
So Yubae asks one question, among many other amassed concerns about this ordeal about to come. “Will the others know if we’re gone?” }
"Hm? Of course I do. If I went out looking like this, I'd get harassed and probably have a harder time leaving. You act like I'm keeping a slave hidden in my closet or something--calm down." She knew that it wasn't entirely proper for her to hide things such as more casual wear around, but she kept those things around for a reason--it'd be much harder to take care of her sister if she had to parade around the town in such extravagant wear, as would daytime missions be difficult to do if she were so noticeable and easy to pick out. There was also the matter of how she may or may not sometimes swipe some food to keep her and her sister fed. ... Whenever her sister wasn't at Matsumoto's clinic. Slipping into her room, she crouched down at the drawers and began to sift through them to find a couple of her plainer kimono.
Yumiko was a fairly tall woman in comparison to her friend, so her kimono would be a tad too long, but she was sure they could easily find a solution. Getting up with the smallest of sighs, she held out the pale purple kimono to her friend. It was cute kimono, if you asked Yukimo, with a simple floral design on it. It was something she thought would suit her friend quite well, really. Soft, pink lips curved back into the faintest of smirks as sapphire eyes shone almost mischievously.
"So long as you're with me, no one will know~ I mean, I've never been noticed during my absences before." If everything was left up to the ninja, then no one would notice their absence and they could have some fun out in town. "All you need to do, is try on this kimono and just trust me, okay?"

My muse is singing a sad ballad. Your muse overhears mine. What will your muse do next?
"Everyone thinks we’re perfect, but…but look at us! We’re far from it."

"Yubae... I..." No more could pass his lips at the very moment, he could not find anything to answer. No word could describe the pain he felt after statement coming from her, but his face could not lie... The man was sad, because the one he loved was not feeling good, sad and guilty because he felt like he failed at making her happy like he wanted to.
RPing Issues! We got ya RPing issues here!
This is in reply to some stuff that came up on the Hakuouki side of my dashboard, but I'm posting it as an original post so I can enable comments from anyone who has any. Since I'm mostly posting thoughts about RPing in general, not the particulars of Hakuouki RPing, it might interest the Gintama side of my dashboard as well. Or if it's tl;dr for any of my followers, there's a reason it's under a cut.
