Light bathed the girl’s face as she leaned into the cabinet of a retro game in the arcade. She remembered coming to these type of arcades with her friend, Frankie. Admittedly, it was a bit lonely being by herself at one.
As the sound of an obvious lose played over the screen, Barbara turned, to-go coffee in hand. But as she saw what appeared to be a young boy with a Rubik’s cube, she felt her face contorting into one of concern. They actually brought regular kids there? Now that was just messed up, honestly.
The girl approached him with a soft smile and waved to get his attention. “So, what’s with the Rubik’s cube? Do you know how to solve it?”
