“Alright” Yugi said with a small nod as he moved to stand next to the blue eyed man, waiting for the car to come get them. “By the way, thanks for buying lunch Kaiba-kun. I know you weren’t expecting me at your office today so, I’m glad you still take the time to hang out.” Seto Kaiba was a very busy man after all.

“Hm? Ah, we’re doing good! Most of the time people come in looking for Duel Monsters cards, but we still sell all kinds of games. Grandpa’s back bothers him sometimes so I help around the shop a lot.” He explained as he looked up at Seto before pointing over to a black car approaching them. That had to be Kaiba’s driver.

“You know? You should come visit sometime. Grandpa would be happy to see you after such a long time.”

“It was a welcomed distraction to get out of the office and do something nice.” The company was appreciated as well but Yugi already knew that by now. At the mention of Yugi’s grandpa would like him to visit Seto scoffed out a dry chuckle and shook his head. “I highly doubt that Yugi, I’m sure he’s still angry about the Blue-eyes incident, that and I’ve been trying to buy the game shop.” He said and looked down to Yugi and quickly went on to explain his intentions.

“I don’t want to kick you two out of your home, it’s an older building on a nice street. I wanted to buy it to renovate the shop, expand the building and under Kaiba corp I’d be able to get the shop more merchandise. Maybe you could talk some sense into the old man? He thinks I want to demolish the shop when I only want to help fund improvements.” 

Their ride pulled up, a luxury car of course, and Kaiba opened the back door for Yugi then climbed in after. It was only a few minute ride to the mansion and they were dropped off. Seto told his driver that he wouldn’t be needing any more rides today and to go home before he lead his guest up the front steps. “Here it is, my big pointless house.” He said unenthused as he unlocked his door by a pinpad and the doors opened for them.

Atemu sighed as he walked toward the throne room, looking at the letter that he had just received “are you telling me that my adopted parents had arranged for me to be wedded to this Prince..of Japan on the eve of his eighteenth summer?” he asked, earning a sigh from his oldest adviser, Shimun

“I am afraid so, sire... and the contract was signed before the former queen passed away...” Shimun smiled softly to the king, though he was adopted Pharaoh Atemu was everything the kingdom needed, he was strong, and dangerous, but he was also kind and caring, which was a good thing, though Shimun had been around when Pharaoh Aknamkanun and his Queen had made the deal, the adviser didn’t know if the Japanese still wanted to go through with it

“fear not though my King... I am sure you and Japan’s heir will get along...” Atemu sighed “that may be, but Shimun.. most modern folk do not believe in magic or the gods... so how will I explain my powers... or for that matter my wings?”

Shimun shrugged as they entered the throne room and Atemu sat down, handing the letter to his cousin Seto who was waiting for them, all the priests were there and ready to begin court sessions

“we’ll figure it out later, sire.. right now let us deal with our kingdom’s issues before the Japanese arrive”, Atemu nodded “very well.. proceed...” he sighed as he sat back... wondering.. if things in his life could get even more complicated...

It was hard to understand as to how this conversation had started. Well - how it had taken the turn that it did. He’d invited Yugi over to play a few games before his date that night with Seto. It wasn’t as if he was attempting to hide that he was going out with the ceo that night - he just hadn’t wished to bring it up while they’d been playing.  But now? Now he almost wished that he had. He thought that Yugi may have been happy for him. For Atem finding a way to keep continuing to push forwards within this word that was independent from leaning on Yugi all the time...He wanted to share this joy that he felt but now? Now he wasn’t sure how to feel.  “But why are you jealous? I thought that you wanted less time with me? For us to get used to having our own separate life? It’s almost as if you think I no longer care for you”

@yugitenderheart Ayame sat in the attic of the Kame Game shop, cleaning the antiques and memoirs. That was when she discovered the old album. It was still here!? To be honest, she was kind of relieved. She picked up the album and flipped through the pictures. At first she enjoyed herself, reminiscing about the past. But then she realised that tears were streaming down her face. Oh no... Ever since he left, Ayame promised she wouldn't cry. She had to be strong for Yugi! Why couldn't she stop!? She desperately tried to wipe them away, hoping Yugi wouldn't see her like this, let alone come to the attic.

@yugitenderheart Oh. This was going to be a fun day. He giggled lightly to himself, fingers flying across virtual screens as he set up the last that was required. Humans were such intresting creatures. He wished to experience all ranges of their emotions. Including grief. Watching as Yugi fell asleep at his desk, he used the laptop camera as a mode of transportation for his data - appearing behind Yugi, much like 'Yami' once would. Kaiba had programmed a lot of useless information about most of these people. They were therefore the easiest to trick. "Yugi" he whispered close to his ear "It's time to wake up"

The thief clicked his tongue in frustration as he looked down at his captive. The mission was supposed to be simple. In the dead of night, sneak into the palace and steal as much valuables as possible without being detected. What he didn’t take into consideration though, was the incompetence of his crew.

Some thought it would be a good idea to kidnap the pharaoh along with the riches. Who they did manage to snatch, however, wasn’t their target. Instead it was the pharaoh’s vessel, and frankly Akeifa had no idea what to do with him.

“I guess we could sell him for a decent price..” He said absentmindedly, debating his options.
