The whole situation with Yuigaoka honestly connects with Otonokizaka and Uranohoshi if you think about it.
Otonokizaka was what happens if people band together, try really hard, get lucky, and make their dream come true. They saved their school. Mission accomplished. So they disbanded.
Uranohoshi is a continuation. They had the same dream, the same hope, but you don't always get what you want. Sometimes you fail, even though you try your hardest. What happens after that, in the wake of failure? You make sure your legacy lives on - through the school's memory, through the idols, even after you're gone.
Yuigaoka is what comes after. When you have a legacy long gone, what can you do? You can use it as a foundation and begin to build again, to accomplish both old dreams and new with that same determination inna new community. You can use that legacy to guide you and your new generation past the history, past the failure. You can accomplish what those before you couldn't.
The three main schools fit and examine what the school and its community mean. What does success and failure mean, how do you come back, and what do you do with what's left? In a weird way, you could see it as a story in 3 acts.
