Thank you so much for all your support during 2025, I hope you have a special and fulfilling start to 2026. Continuing my "tradition" of publishing tragic comics around this time of year, I managed to finish my last COTL comic of the year before midnight here!

Don't worry, the Lamb is fine. This comic is necessary to explain important things that several people have asked me about, and finally, you'll have your answers in 2026!

I just realized the Lamb's body might have vanished. So their collar is left behind and Narinder is terrified.

What is the in lore reason why the false prophet decided to label everything in the cult with OwO? I love it, but I also want to know the in lore reason because it interests me.

Oh boy, the real reason is a really old joke with my group of friends that predates even COTL lol

But, a reason within the story for that… I guess it goes back to the early days of the cult.

I'll give the idea to these two, but especially to Yuki. As I said before, strong emotions or the use of their power can make the FP's eyes glow even with their shadow mask, so it's very likely to leave quite the impact, specially if you were rescued by them.

The prayer of the cult is "A smile welcomed us, to it we swore loyalty" after all.

Many things that have shaped the cult to this day are thanks to Yuki and the first followers, the FP didn't know what the hell they were doing at the start of all.

This gave me the need to draw more things from those early days…

I find it interesting that Falsy makes Shamura a disciple, considering that Shamura is the Bishop they hate the most due to Shamura making them kill two of their own followers (and sever them from the cycle). What changed? Did Falsy just kinda mellow out or?

Important things to consider: -The founder of the disciples is the Lamb, not the False Prophet.

-The False Prophet don't decide who is a disciple and has little authority in this decision anyway, they only perform the ritual.

-The Lamb considers the opinion of other disciples to include those outside the flock (since the disciples are mostly those raised in the cult).

So that was a battle lost before it even began.

That said, it wasn't an immediate decision; the Lamb doesn't have a special relationship with Shamura either. BUT thanks to Aracnia, the disciples ended up adopting the spider, so finally a generation came along that asked the question, and like the indulgent parent that Baba are, they went to the False Prophet. This was also supported by Yuki VII and together they managed…not to convince them per se, but to get them to accept it in a more agreable way.

The False Prophet has always liked to indulge their flock, even against their own preferences sometimes.
