Alphys, Captain of the Royal Guard and Crown Princess
She is the public face of the royalty to the kingdom, holding the rank of Captain of the Royal Guard, but much better known by the title of "Princess" to the people.
She has a beautiful mother-daughter relationship with Toriel, who practically adopted her when she was still a child, and from then on they were almost inseparable until she was old enough to begin making public appearances.
The council saw her as the perfect puppet to manipulate the public and, using Alphys's affection for the queen, they placed her in the role of "princess" to "protect" Toriel from the difficult life of monarch of the Underground.
"Don't you want to protect her happiness?" was the perfect excuse to grab the dinosaur's heart and make her accept becoming the "Perfect Leader".
The council fully intended to get rid of Toriel at some point and leave Alphys as "queen," given that she was their perfect puppet. Luckily for everyone, Wallet arrived at the right moment and destroyed the status quo that had existed in the kingdom for so long.
She was given the rank of Captain since she is not legally the princess but is the closest thing they have to an heir to the monarchy (which is how they have sold her image).
Basically, she has to suppress everything about herself and act the way the council wants her to: pompous, unattainable, perfect, and the very image of upper-class luxury.
She may appear serious and reserved, but inside she's a bundle of nerves, pure anxiety about stumbling and ruining everything they've built around her. She doesn't want to disappoint anyone, especially her "mother," but they've created such an identity crisis in her that she's gradually stopped visiting Toriel for fear of not being recognized.
She speaks little at events and looks at everyone with sharp eyes, always accompanied by someone from the council. Inside, she's truly afraid of saying the wrong thing, and her eyesight is terrible, but they took away her glasses since they didn't fit her image of a leader without flaws.
Given that her role is merely to be the poster child, the signature of approval on a document she didn't write, she's unaware of the state of the kingdom and the corruption greed has done to her fellow monsters; at her core, she is still pure.
When she's not in "disguise", she's sweet and kind, a maiden who still gets excited by small, tender things. Unfortunately, it's not a side of herself she can share with anyone...until Wallet wreaks havoc in the Underground.

Sans & Alphys Relationship: Being genuine has its perks
As mentioned before, Sans has this idealized view of the royal guard, to the point of ignoring their actions right in front of him because of his belief in the abstract prestige they possess.
Therefore, it's not surprising that Alphys is someone he admires, especially given her powerful and unattainable image, so well known to everyone. And the unattainable aspect is quite true, given that the princess doesn't leave the capital or interact with monsters of such low status.
Alphys, for her part, ignored Sans's existence for a long time until he appeared alongside Wallet.
🟪Once the human became famous, the council deemed it appropriate to send Alphys to "deal" with them as a way to maintain order (just one public appearance so they could show that the captain of the royal guard could handle anything) but this didn't go as planned.
Alphys has a huge weakness for cute and adorable things. Until then, she'd managed to keep it in check in public, but seeing the pets was enough to make her whole facade crumble.
With B-Lord, she was able to resist, since his adorableness goes hand in hand with his disdain and aggression, so appreciating him from a respectful distance was key.
But Doggy? Giant, shy, and cuddly Doggy? The attack of cuteness aggression he caused in the poor girl was so intense that she unleashed years of repression and launched herself like a possessed woman to "hug" him (or something like that; she probably would have crushed him if she'd reached him and the poor dog run for his life).
Considering that this was accompanied with what can only be described as a battle cry, it left Sans (who had been chasing Wallet to get back his dog for some time) in awe and even more into his fantasy that the captain is the coolest monster ever.
On the other hand, when Alphys was finally able to interact with Sans, she found him to be the most original and creative person she knew.
Someone so genuine who wouldn't let anyone alter his beliefs.

Alphys, Ex Captain Royal Guard
She was perfect, the captain of the guard, the role model for the cause, Toriel's pride.
All of this crumbled the moment Sans challenged her to a duel for her rank and she lost miserably. The skeleton wiped the floor with her and turned her into a disappointment in the eyes of the queen: "If only you were better, if only you had what it takes, but no, you are incapable of that".
From being confident, proud, and haughty, Alphys transformed into someone with severe self-esteem issues, perfectionism, and a complex about always being second best to Sans.
Toriel is the closest thing to a mother she ever had, and being the light of her eyes from a young age was her main motivation. Losing that broke something inside her, and this transformed into a resentment against who "stole it from her" that burns every time it's brought up.
The queen, in particular, reinforces this whenever Alphys is in her presence, forcing her to wear her former captain's uniform but without the rank, to "prove that if she tried a little harder, she could be better".
What use is this to the queen?
In her corrupted perception of things, it gives her a "card up her sleeve" in case something happens to the captain of the guard. Furthermore, it provides motivation to avoid mistakes, given that someone is willing to do anything to take his position.
And by everything, we mean absolutely everything. Alphys tries to sabotage Sans every chance she gets, whether it's by trying to make him fail missions or by upgrading her weaponry to the latest available technology.
She manages to do the latter by manipulating the Royal Mechanic to give her the latest creations before the rest of the guard.
Sans knows Alphys has a vendetta against him, yes, but his abilities are enough to get the job done. Or at least that's what he thinks, because Papyrus is keeping a watchful eye out in the shadows, preventing several of these sabotage attempts, and since a large part of his work is in Snowdin, the dino can't get there because of the cold.
🔺With Shaky on the run, word quickly spread that the seventh human had fallen into the Underground. While Papyrus tried to stop Sans, the kid arrived to Waterfall where they were unpleasantly surprised to find that the skeleton wouldn't be the only royal guard they'd have to escape.
Does the red crown have a certain opinion about TFP? Like they always have so many Ginny expressions, and eyerolls,... So i wanted to ask.
So, let's start with the fact that I have my own way of seeing the crowns considering that I started this story years ago.
I checked all the new information that has come out about them and while my take doesn't go against it, I'll do a simple explanation first of my take.
For me, The Crowns are a magical object with a certain degree of consciousness. They are not intelligent as such, perhaps mostly intuitive and easily influenced by its wearer (if it fit its purpose)
They have a purpose, like any object, and their magic is designed to fulfill that purpose. Therefore, one could attribute to it a will, a "desire" to fulfill this purpose, which makes it favor certain actions of its wielder and oppose others (Although they are still an object, so it's not like they can physically do anything against it bearer).
What is that purpose? Being such ancient objects that has passed through many hands, somewhere along the way that original true purpose was lost, leaving only the knowledge of what theycan do (in the case of the Red Crown, its power over death).
Returning to the question, the Red Crown has a strong sense of purpose. They spent a long time with Narinder to not influence each other, and when it was given to the Lamb, it was with the intention of continuing this purpose…and the Lamb went and give it to the FP.
The Red Crown is initially used as the object it is, but without the intention with which it was accustomed to being used.
The FP has no ambition to be a god or create a cult for TOWW; they are simply doing what they want with the "cover" that is the mission entrusted to the Lamb.
So it's common to see it make faces at certain actions of its wearer, especially those associated with their positive emotions towards their followers, especially Yuki.
The FP "wastes a lot of time" tending to their cult: decorating it, spending time with the followers, indulging them, and especially pampering Yuki. Time during which they don't use the crown for its "purpose," which is why the Red Crown has disdain for all these "mortal" ties.
Compilation of the Red Crown when the FP is in Yuki mode
As long as the False Prophet continues to indulge in such "useless" activities in their transformation into a God of Death, the crown will continue to make faces. Although, as I said before, it's not completely indifferent to the influence its wearer has upon it.
The red crown is very fond of the Lamb (and of Narinder too)
How the Red Crown looked while the Lamb was gone vs when they found them.
It doesn't seem to hold much resentment over the exchange, but it does seem to resent Ratau.
Perhaps because he didn't notice this exchange? It doesn't matter, but you'll always see it making a face when the rat is present and treats the FP with respect.
At the end of the day, the crown belongs to its wearer, so over time they have both learned to interact better and flow in a more synchronized way.

Muffet, Owner of Snowdin's Saloon
She got off to a pretty humble start, but worked quickly to turn it around. Being something like the matriarch of her family, ensuring the safety of everyone in a world that was slowly beginning to deteriorate was her priority.
For the same reason, although not the first option of many, the fact that she chose to stay in Snowdin was a completely conscious decision. Once her place in the town was secured, she began her own work to control it…and what a job she did.
In its beginnings (and as it happened in almost all corners of the underground), Snowdin was just a town of monsters that did not have what it takes to continue advancing, so the town was formed as a united community and with the hope of surviving while waiting for the help that the king promised.
Between the inclement weather and the disaster that plagued the kingdom for decades, the concept of a united community deteriorated, but not completely. Those who are originally from the town continue a kind of implicit pact that makes them respect each other even at a distance and can especially be seen in action when they interact with outsiders.
In this context, Muffet's Saloon was one of the first places to be founded and it only grew over the years. Unfortunately, what at some point could have been a meeting point for the community, became the biggest den of corruption and crime in the kingdom. The oasis in the frozen desert, the perfect trap; once you fall into the web, you never free yourself from its threads.
Like all monsters in the underground, Muffet's need to survive was corrupted by greed and the desire for power. In a world where money became the main symbol of it, getting it in any way possible quickly removed morality and empathy from her. For this reason, the Saloon became the stage for endless vices and scams.
The lady of the place, respected and feared by all, charms everyone with her compassionate facade and welcoming arms. Everyone is encouraged to try the drinks and seek refuge within the warm walls of the place. Sure, none of this is free, but Muffet is understanding and allows those most in need to open a tab and pay later. Many were deluded to believe in her words and fell directly into her clutches.
Prepared with the poison of her Pet, the Special Drink that is served to every new diner that arrives has a highly addictive component. The more you consume, the worse the effects are and the withdrawal, unbearable. Although the first drink is from the house, the price to continue drinking only goes up, for the same reason, it's the perfect trap the monsters.
Muffet does not seek profit with her products as much as having at her disposal as many fools that fall into her web.
Snowdin is the poorest place in the kingdom, where everyone is on their own trying to exist with little food and a deadly climate. Knowing this, Muffet put her focus on attracting the foreigners.
Far enough away from the capital that no one has an interest in knowing what's going on, much less controlling it, Snowdin's Saloon is a light in the dark, patiently waiting for the naive to fall in its jaws.
Muffet is the queen of the Underground's underground. Any illegality that occurs in the shadows is supervised by her, in the same way that all money exchanged produces a profit for her. With an army of debt-ridden addicts at her disposal, after decades she runs her own empire of corruption.
The royal guard are guests of honour at her establishment, even if any loyalty between them is simply bribery. They don't meddle in her affairs and she allows them the access to the best place in town to spend time.
The rest of the town also benefits: As said before, they have a kind of pact between them that is not apparent due to the hostility that generally abounds in their interactions, but it becomes quite evident when dealing with foreigners.
Any monster that comes to town attracted by the vices that the Saloon provides, is also one more prey for the thieves and swindlers of the place.
Resembling an arachnid Éclair, this monster is the Saloon Lady's pampered pet.
Its saliva/venom is the secret that has helped build the army of addicts at Muffet's disposal.

Muffet & Papyrus Relationship: Lifetime Debt
When Papyrus arrived in town, having been kicked out of the capital and with nothing but his younger brother, Muffet showed up as the one and only kind soul willing to help and shelter them.
Unaware of the trap he was falling into, the skeleton fully trusted her. The charade of kindness continued until he grew old enough to be of use to her; the speech was said with the same sweetness that had been maintained until that moment: "I have been so good to you, it's only fair that you pay me back".
Like this, and being too late to escape, Papyrus was forced to pay his debt to Muffet, doing whatever work she saw necessary. A debt that only increased over time, because every time he thought he was close to paying it off in full, he was tricked or forced by necessity to get into debt again.
Muffet sees the skeleton as nothing more than another of her goons, a way to keep making money and maintain her position of power. Papyrus for his part, just sees her as another reason why he'd rather be dead, but sadly he can't just get rid of her. Not only because it's one of the main ways he can support his brother, but because unfortunately he is also an addict.
The spider did not hesitate to take advantage of his physical pain to become his sole supplier of drugs.
🟪When Wallet arrives in town, they go unnoticed by the spider until the kid begins to interact with Snowdin's monsters themselves. Once proven that they have more money than any of the foreigners who have set foot in the place in decades, Muffet tries by all means to coax them into debt (No drugs, she doesn't mess with kids like that).
Ironically, not only does Wallet have enough money to pay the Saloon's absurdly high prices, but they quickly grow bored with the place, simply slipping out of her clutches and moving on.

Muffet, Head Chef of Snowdin's Community Dining Room
She is an excellent chef who, like everyone in the beginning, did not hesitate to serve the crown and the cause of the queen; Both she and her family wanted to help their loved ones and be a help to the community.
Her skills were considered appropriate to be in charge of the Community Dinning Room of the distant town of Snowdin, regardless of the problem that the cold of the place would generate for her people. Orders are orders and like everyone else, still believing that the Queen made the best decisions, she kept silent and began her work.
The resources at her disposal were always scarce and strictly controlled, leaving her with no choice but to constantly cook bland meals, with just enough rations for every residents in town, specially the guard.
Time passed and the original paranoia, as the good will of the cause, ended up dying. What at some point she believed would be a help to the community, she slowly understood was nothing more than another way to control people.
The crown provides, but it also restricts. The Community Dining Room was nothing more than an excuse to monitor the monsters, with each resident having to report at least once a week to receive their rations under the watchful eye of the royal guard.
For her, the building is her home and her jail. It's one of the few places that has the necessary conditions to keep her protected from the low temperatures of Snowdin, which limits her mobility and, as it's large enough to accommodate the entire community, it's also used as a warehouse for resources send from the Capital.
In other words, Muffet is limited to cooking and interacting only when serving rations to the other citizens and helping delivering boxes of stuff to the Dog Family, usually under the strict surveillance of the royal guard.
She is one of many monsters who fervently believes that the Queen has gone completely insane and that they cannot live under her rule forever.
For this and her position in the town, she is the one who is in charge of the growing resistance that arose against the crown in this area of the kingdom. Being the very image of calm and composure, no one suspects her involvement, which she has used to slowly provide locals with forbidden resources. In addition to collecting information about the royal guard, especially considering the proximity of the captain.
Her contacts with rebels outside the town have helped them accumulate the necessary power for a possible future rebellion.
In Snowdin, the Dog Family is her main ally, while her own family, made excellent spies due to their size. The cold makes it a dangerous job, but the conviction of overthrowing the Queen and finally opting for a better life is worth it.
No one is particularly sure where it came from, but Muffet calls it her "pet" and its job is to guard the supply storeroom.
Likewise, no one has actually seen it, only its eyes and paws, since it uses a box as camouflage.
Like everyone else in town, Muffet considers Papyrus a waste of space. Even with her own dislike for the royal guard, she can't help but wonder why the captain puts up with him, but even so, she can't deny his usefulness to the cause.
Papyrus lives without much purpose and accepts any job that provides him with his vice, so Muffet did not hesitate to use it to their advantage, especially with the most risky jobs.
The skeleton's loyalty to the queen is non-existent, so he never cared about exposing himself to danger, on the other hand, his concern for his brother still exists, so keeping close to the resistance is a good way to protect him from them.
The deals are simple: Mutt gets the job done and receives his cigars as payment. If caught, he has the immunity of being the brother of the captain of the guard, and while that does not ensure his safety, the resistance will not regret his loss.
Anyway, the skeleton doesn't really seem to care what happens to him and deep down, he enjoys helping ruin the queen's plans.
🔺If Muffet's indifference changes with the arrival of certain small creatures into Papyrus's life and his attitude towards them, she never said it out loud, but Shaky had more alert eyes watching over their safety than they ever knew about while in Snowdin.
I wonder if the FP would be mocking and smug that they're a mortal that became a god with no drawbacks while the Fox went from an implied mortal and dissenting member of Ratau's cult to a powerful but still lesser being with an endless hunger (even if the Fox enjoys it).
Not really, because it was never what the FP wanted in the first place.
I think I answered something about that once, whether the FP knew what they were getting into by taking the red crown, and the answer was no.
What they want and value is the cult, the flock, something that belongs to them. That's why even the former bishops become beloved at some point (well, some more than others), because they are part of this thing that belongs to them. Being a god was more of a consequence than something intentionally pursued.
Furthermore, the FP would never compare themselves to the Fox.
They despise everything his existence implies, everything he is and does: The False Prophet prophet is "a lamb", they were never a "fox".
Even if the Collector no longer uses a mask that hides their features, they don't identify themselve with a fox either.
It may sound ridiculous to call themselves a lamb, but at the end of the day it has less to do with the species and more with the one who gave them the opportunity to start over, to find their identity.
The Lamb was not the only one who was given a fresh new start that day.
Was there ever a Yuki that outright refused the False Prophet?
Not that it's known, but there have been a couple of generations (40-60 years) between reincarnations where there hasn't been a Yuki in the cult (same with the other reicarnations too).
Those who come to the cult have always been: rescued, bought, or have arrived on their own, never forced. The FP wants them there and they must be happy to be there too.

World Context //Purplish Master Post (under construction)
🟪Content warning: Overall, they are just really bad monsters.
The Underground is a corrupt place, run by those who have no greater interest than accumulating power and wealth. After centuries locked in the caverns that now make up their world, the once gentle and caring monsters have deteriorated, leaving a civilisation controlled by greed.
And no one seems to have greater greed from the people than those who make up the Royal Guard.
A position desired by all: after royalty, and the lucky monsters of the capital, they are the ones who have the best life. Perhaps at one time they were symbols of justice and morality, but now they are nothing more than abusers and oppressors. Charged with collecting The Queen's tax, they lack any empathy for the people.
With luxurious uniforms and access to anywhere they want, if a monster makes it into their troops, a life devoid of poverty is assured. Anyone would like to have the job, but everyone hates those who have it.
The Bunny family
Also know as just the Snowdin Unit is one of the most despised group of royal guards; a whole family that, against all odds, managed to get the job and are in charge of the most forgotten town of the kingdom. They abuse their power as they wish.
Easily bribed, for the right price they will turn around and not meddle in anyone's business. Although, don't think that this makes them weak, on the contrary, they can be brutal if someone crosses their path. They just prefer to live an easy life and the people already know how to deal with them.
If you don't find them roaming the streets, demanding made-up taxes from any unfortunate soul who crosses their path, you can see them at their private table in Snowdin's Saloon.
They're an arrogant group of bullies who love getting what they want without much effort. Shining, ornate armor, hands laden with rings, and the royal purple Delta crest gleaming on their uniforms. A family envied by many.
How did I swaped the royal guard?
This is the diagram I made, and if you’re wondering about the names, I wanted to use something that makes a “reference” to their original “names” in the game (which half don’t have perse, just a reference of what they do).
In terms of personality, they’re something like this:
Chopper, the first in command
The one in charge of this sector and matriarch of the family.
Temperamental and easily irritated, she loves being in charge.
She dictates the rules as she pleases and is the one with direct contact with the council.
She hates getting her hands dirty, so she sends the other guards to do the dirty work, while she gorges herself in the comfortable and always warm Saloon.
Drew, the silent one
Silent as the wind, she uses her small size to spy on everyone.
Always with a smile, she seems to always be drinking, which gives her a peculiar sway as she walks.
She enjoys extorting others with the secrets she has accumulated, and likewise, she is always willing to sell information for the right price.
She's usually found lurking along paths and in corners, always with her ears attentive to listen for any murmur.
Inny, the second in comman
The self-proclaimed treasurer of the town, is in charge of keeping track of the money that officially comes in and the payment of taxes to the crown.
She enjoys stealing from it and distributing it as she pleases, so it isn't uncommon to see monsters trying to offer her favors or valuables in exchange for a few coins.
Don't fall into her bad side, because she is capable of making your money worthless and prevent you from obtaining any resources.
Gia and Kit, the siblings (youngest of the team)
The siblings that were recently admitted to the royal guard solely due to nepotism.
They spend their time arguing and fighting to have more than the other, so if there is something that one wants, it's not strange that the other will do everything possible to get it first.
Gia wants more influence in the town, to be admired and revered like the others. Kit, on the other hand, enjoys abusing his power, mocking the poor and even taking what little they have if he has the chance.
In general, they're all abusers who take advantage of their position to line their own pockets. But if there's one thing they all share, it's a deep-seated fear of Sans.
The skeleton has not only pursued them throughout the town demanding to join the guard more than once, but, refusing to accept "no" for an answer, has assumed he must "impress them with his skills" to be considered.
This has created a deadly risk for each and every member of the Snowdin unit, as traps have repeatedly appeared in their usual spots without warning. The Bunny Family wants absolutely nothing to do with the skeleton and getting rid of him never worked, so they were forced to demand that Papyrus control him or he would be the one branded as unwanted in the town.
The older brother managed to negotiate the Sentry position (with a mediocre salary) in exchange for preventing Sans from continuing to set traps in the town. While this restored their peace of mind, no longer making them fear for their lives on a daily basis, they flee in terror every time the short skeleton appears.
