Reading the stuff that's happening in the fandom, and the things Hino said about Yuuki. Even after the first school arc she was what 15?16? she "needed" to make a decision between Kaname and Zero, but there was no decision, if she would have stayed with Zero (in the Academy) everyone would have been in danger because of her so she choose the only option where her loved ones were safe (Yori, Kaien, Zero, the day class students, etc.). So there was no choice really, but she needed to make a decision which is more mature than her age suggests.

And somehow Yuuki always ended up in these situations by Hino/the plot where she needed to act wiser beyond her age and shoulder burdens which she shouldn't (it's not just the fate of pure bloods which Juri wanted to save Yuuki from.)

Again losing everything at 17?18? not understanding anything, but losing someone who was constantly being with you in all of your life, finding out you were pregnant and having the future of the entire vampire society on you, many would have crumbled and she stood up. She could raise Ai with the memories of love Kaname takes strength. And Yuuki was strong, all the way along, she wasn't the smartest always, but she was resilient, trusting and cared so much about the people around her.

That's why I don't like all the Yuuki bashing, she was the sacrifice of the plot, the sacrifice of Hino and still she was there always the best to her abilities and always putting others first.
