Yuki stood still, biting her lower lip with anticipation and worry, as she watched Rose wrap another wound. The fae could see the storm barely contained behind those yellow eyes, and she feared the worst. It took a lot to make Rose angry, however since this was more likely personal, it was like a rubber band pulled taunt, ready to snap at any moment. Yuki tried not to wince when the disinfectant ran across an ugly gash on her upper arm. Yuki didn’t want to cause more stress on the redhead, it’s bad enough she was the one who found her beaten.
“Who did this to you?” The redheads tone barely held her rage. She was standing in front of Yuki, holding her hand, comforting the hurt fae in a way Rose only knew how. Yuki found that the most endearing about the assassin. Rose wasn’t good with words, but she conveys what she feels through actions whether big or small. “Yuki?”
Yuki knew this question was coming and even then she wasn’t prepared to answer. She squeezed the redheads hand, a small part of her taking note how Rose’s skin feels more like silicone than human skin, and took a deep breath to calm her nerves. When she was as ready as can be, Yuki looked up into Rose’s eyes, a harden look crossing her features. It was strange to see Yuki this serious, but quite honestly Rose enjoyed the fae when she’s smiling more.
“Promise me that if I tell you, you won’t go after them.” Yuki pushed a bit forward, ignoring the many protests of her wounds. “Promise me, Rose.” She insisted. Rose was a bit taken back by this request. How can she just let them go? After everything the did! The redhead scowled, looking for something in those green eyes. The tension grew with each passing second Rose didn’t reply, making Yuki nervous. Then with a sigh the tension was released, as Rose leaned forward wrapping her arms around the fae, careful not to push or press on any wounds.
“I promise.”
Later that night, Rose stood in one of the many rooftops of an industrial building. The wind was crisp, and she could feel it seep through her many layers of her outfit, however that was the least of her worries. This man knew more than he should and she will find everyone accosiated with him. Once they start hurting anyone she’s close too it becomes personal and she would not tolerate her loved ones being involved in this way. Rose assembled Miyuki’s sniper rifle with quick ease, knowing that once the bluenette finds out its missing Rose is a deadman so she used this time to quickly set up her position and complete her personal mission.
“Sorry, sweetheart.” Rose muttered behind her mask, twisting on the silencer, and aiming it at her target. She kept her aim steady, her breathe slow and deep, getting the crosshairs on point, finger itching to pull the trigger. “That’s one promise I’ll have to break.”
BANG!
