Ed has died

Those there words made her blood run cold, and her mind just seemed to stop working. In fact she felt as though she’d become nothing more than a statue at that moment.

That was until she felt like she was going to be ill.

“No….” she whimpered her eyes widening looking down at the soft green grass  below her feet. Tears brimmed in the corners of her eyes, but didn’t fall. Yet. Not until her mind would accept the words she had just heard.

“No…” she repeated. “No. You’re lying! I don’t believe you!”

He can’t be dead…

I just talked to him the other day…

They hadn’t even figured out their relationship, what had they been? Friends? Something more?

Now she’d never find out.

Turning from the person who had told, Yumi fled, running as quickly as she could into the forest. A place where she could be alone. To think. To scream. To do whatever she could. The girl tripped and Yumi didn’t get up. Instead she pulled herself into a sitting position, hiding her head in her knees and sobbed.

How was he gone?

He couldn’t be gone….
