I had that "dude looks like a young Kiritsugu" impression about FGO male MC since the moment I saw his profile pic. *high fives back* I dunno, super cheesy fic usually makes me go "ughh..." when I read it but somehow it kinda works for Saber & Iri's case for me. That's why I really like that fic of yours :D And thanks for the next chapter snippet! Saber & Rider's camaraderie is always enjoyable to read. Also don't sweat on the lack of update. Motivation is essential for this kind of thing :D

Well Saber and Iri are just so sweet around each other so it works in a way. I mean, that tends to be the thing with knight and princess dynamics, especially lady knights. xD 

I knooooow–I just wanted them to be friends in Fate/Zero. D: I mean they somewhat were but ultimately their ideals clashed and all… But nope, not in this AU! They are friends and Rider is gonna do his damnedest to be a great wingman! >:D 

even if it means digging around for more info on Iri and going “ARTY YOUR GIRL IS A VON EINZBERN” “ALEX I’M NOT LISTENING”

No problem~ I don't see myself stopping drawing anytime soon :D One reason why I'm starting with the cafe AU first is because I want to draw Saber in a cafe uniform. Heh. On a different note, I'm one of the people who's waiting for the next chapter of your 'Wake Up Dreaming' fic. No pressure though, lol :P

:D Saber in a suit (or uniforms too lol) was the best thing, honestly. And on a side note, you also saw the similarity between the Male FGO protag and a younger Kiritsugu! *high fives*

Yeah, haven’t really gotten too far in the next chapter yet… xD I mean, this is literally all I have so far: 

Two weeks hadpassed since that night.

After Arturiahad summarily kicked Alexander off of her property—“Go do your work, youoaf!”—she had enacted her plan…which had worked flawlessly, as expected. By thetime the deadline had rolled around, she had been more than prepared to face itwith her head held high and her eyes resolute. The business deal had been asimple one compared to past negotiations—merely opening a new branch in Germanyfor their hotel division—but it had been a test of her strength nonetheless.

Left with roomto breathe, Arturia had found herself mulling over the events of that nightonce more. Alone in her study, with her laptop open to a familiar online game,she had been able to privately blush in embarrassment, running her hands downher face as she quietly cursed herself for charging in so recklessly thatnight. For allowing such intimacy so soon. It was uncharacteristic of her stoicpersona, but Iri just had this…magnetismabout her. This warmth that drew others in.

Next time, I won’t—

The thoughtslammed to a halt as she withdrew her hands from her face, curling them intofists atop her desk. Her fingernails dug almost painfully into her palms. That’s right…

There wouldn’tbe a next time.

“King of Knights! Are you just going to stand thereall day, collecting dust like some pretty-faced ornament?”

Arturia sighedat Alexander’s voice booming from her headset, adjusting its mic so it was nearher mouth again for her reply. “Calm yourself, Alex. We still have five minutesuntil the campaign begins.” She suddenly frowned at the screen, grabbing herwireless mouse so she could maneuver her camera in-game. “Hold on…Can you see me?”

“Ah, well…You’re standing on the crest of a hill,after all. Too far for my archers to reach you, but I’d recognize that bluegarb anywhere,” the redhead chuckled in her ear.

“Alex, it’sthe standard gear for—“

“Oh, you know what I mean, Arturia!” came his reply, and Arturiacouldn’t help a chuckle of her own at his flustered response. “Hmph. If not that, you’re the only one witha glowing gold sword… Tch! If only I hadn’t had a meeting during that quest!”

“As the sayinggoes, ‘finder’s keepers’, my friend. You would not believe the players I had tofight off to reach the chest first,” she bantered back as the tenseness in hershoulders eased with the familiar camaraderie. She looked forward to thesecampaigns, to the adventure, to the exploration—they had served her well inthat dark period following the Camlann events.

“Ha-ha! I’m sure it was a sight to behold! You’renot the King of Knights without good reason, after all!”

Arturia openedher mouth to respond, but quickly shut it again as a countdown appeared on herscreen. One minute until the campaign. One minute until her army set out to viefor control of the surrounding fortresses and claim the tower for their own. Maneuveringher camera around, she could see Alexander’s army to her left in the distance.His red banners flew proudly, and she spotted him astride his massive black horse,his character’s red cape billowing in the game’s wind.

To her rightwas the third army, shining brightly under the game’s sun with their Elf-madearmor and flying the golden banners of their own ‘king’.

“Hmm…Goldie’s at it again in the public chat.”

Her nosecurled at the thought of that man.

“I have nodesire to speak with him.”

“Ha-ha! So long as he doesn’t figure out whichsub-chat we’re hiding in, we should be—“

“Saber, my dear wife!”

She could trydenying it—pitch her voice and feign confusion. But given the fact that her andAlexander’s usernames were displayed in the sub-chat…deception would bedifficult, if not outright impossible.

“Gilgamesh…!You cur, how did you find us?” Arturia demanded, her grip tightening on themouse in her hand.

Hello there~ I've been lurking here for Saber/Iri fics & snippets these past few days thanks to the Fate/Accel Zero Order Event. Which gave me this itch to draw some of them out since I don't know what else to do with all these Saber/Iri feels...! And for that, if I really do get my arse together and draw them, I would like to ask for your permission to use your ideas XD I'll probably upload them in DeviantArt, with credit to you of course (I go by the username 'yumekage' in DeviantArt)
