Yumichika and Ikkaku...

Is this my first time actually posting a fanart of them despite obsessing over them for the past 2 years? Kinda

Third time actually finishing drawing them, that's for sure (⁠ー⁠_⁠ー⁠゛⁠)

When I started drawing this, I said to myself "I'M DRAWING FULL BODIES TODAY, NO CLOSE UPS!!!!" but that was a few seconds before I realised I wanted to draw the only (or one of very few, I'm not checking) character in the frenchise thAT ALWAYS HAS HIS TOES OUT and this is what we got instead, I did save the sketch tho! For some reason! I'll probably just put it in the shit folder of my art folder on google drive (at this point i have more unfinished/low effort drawing than actual good ones)

Extremely stupid thought but Ikkaku and Yumichika.

They are so married. But.

Ikkaku has no idea. Yumichika thinks Ikkaku knows. (It's been decades, come on.) Except Ikkaku's self-awareness when it comes to Yumichika is about as good as Kenpachi's sense of direction.

Now please picture Yumichika enjoying his tea with Iba-san, while Iba is riling Ikkaku up.

Yumi: Could you please stop baiting my idiot husband? He's still recovering from his spar with the captain.

Iba: Ah yes, my bad.

Ikkaku: YOUR WHAT? WHO?

Yumi: ... my idiot husband.

Ikkaku: YUMICHIKA!

Yachiru, who had been watching with snacks: He means you, pachinko-head.

Iba: ... He really is an idiot.

Yumi: My idiot.

(Word gets out and Ikkaku is livid that everyone knew except him. He thought that time at the (rundown) temple and sake was just a regular occurrence.

Yumichika is considering filing for divorce. He had worn his nicest clothes for the occasion and the dumbass didn't notice? Betrayal!

I know comrades or partners will support you when you're injured but.

Considering what we know about Yumichika and his aversion to being dirty. Him even allowing Ikkaku to put his arm around him while covered in his blood and that of his enemy. And yes, I know he doesn't put his arm around Ikkaku. The guy is a bit of a germ freak.

I sincerely doubt he would do this for anyone else besides Ikkaku.

These two are together. They have always been together.
