Who needs enemies when you have friends like this?
(From: NMT evil Angel au (OFC I MADE A FANFIC FOR THIS WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED /silly))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The first while of being trapped there was... strange. People from all over the world, people with different backstories, even people from times past were all there.
And Angel was one of them.
To Angel, it seemed strange for her to be stuck there. She was an angel! Was she seriously going to be stuck here with all the others?
Well, once she realized her powers did practically nothing in this place, it seemed like she was going to be stuck here. She tried to make the best of it by making friends! She didn't know how humans worked exactly, but she was sure she could learn.
She tried to make friends with the doctor first. He seemed quite kind, and was always trying his best to make sure no one was left behind. Considering how everyone was in danger at all times in this place, it was quite admirable! Angel never liked to leave anyone behind either. She and the doctor (who's name she ended up finding out was Mick) became good friends. Or so she believed.
Angel tried to make friends with a few others, but it never went anywhere. Cassie was too angry, Savo was too focused on doing tricks, Ouro just seemed cold to everyone, and Kody... well, Angel felt like she was partially friends with him at least.
Eventually, Angel met up with the knight, who she soon found out was called Sir Patrick. He talked an awful lot about saving his kingdom, and Angel didn't have the heart to tell him that, since he was from the past, his kingdom had been destroyed for centuries... But Angel loved hearing him talk, and they became quite fast friends.
During rounds, Angel would constantly save people. She would never stop until every single person made it out alive. People would save her as well, it was like a perfect system! As long as people saved each other, Angel figured everything would be okay.
And it would've been. But not everything can work out perfectly, you know?
As a new round started, people scrambled to get to their feet. A round had started right in the middle of the night (or, at least, what everyone assumed was night), so everyone had quite the rude awakening.
Unfortunately, the world wasn't going to cut them any slack, and the round started with the same stressful clock ticking down like it always did. People had barely gotten off of the floor as The Corruption came behind them, practically reaching out for them.
People ran as fast as they could, but they just didn't have the same rhythm they normally did. I mean, come on, most of them had literally just been in their bed a few seconds ago!
Angel noticed Kody was lagging behind, so Angel was ready when Kody eventually got downed, and used her powers to bring him right to her. Once he was healed and put back on the ground again, he zoomed away on his skateboard.
Angel soon realized that she herself was lagging behind, but despite her best efforts, she couldn't run any faster, eventually leading to her getting downed. Thankfully, she saw Doctor Mick just a little ways behind her, and she was sure he would pick her up and carry her to safety. He always did.
Doctor Mick ran past her, causing Angel to panic a little thinking he hadn't seen her, then stopped and looked behind him. He saw Angel lying on the ground, and Angel reached up to him desperately. Mick would save her, he never left anyone behind!
But then he ran ahead.
Angel blinked.
Did he seriously just... leave her? No... no he wouldn't have! Maybe he hadn't seen her...? But... he looked right at her...
Angel couldn't think of any other excuses before The Corruption caught up to her, and she felt the same excruciating pain that everyone always felt whenever The Corruption would overwhelm their bodies. She tried to scream, but no sound came out of her mouth. It felt like she was suffocating, which seemed silly, since she was in the wide open.
She finished that round as a ghost.
She felt hurt, betrayed even, but she understood. Everyone had been lagging behind, maybe Mick felt unbalanced from being woken up so suddenly and knew that if he tried to carry Angel he would just get them both killed. So after the round was over and they were put back in the storage unit they all were forced to call their home for the past few weeks, Angel went over and talked to Mick.
"Doctor!" She called out as she approached him. "How are you feeling? I feel it would be fair to assume that you were taken by surprise by the sudden awakening we all faced?"
Mick looks at her with a strange sense of surprise and guilt that she hadn't ever seen on his face before. "I, um, yeah. Yeah it... we've never just been taken out of our beds while we were sleeping before... I hope this isn't some sort of implication for things to come."
Angel tried to ignore the emotions on Mick's face as she continued the conversation. "Ah, I'm sure it will all be quite alright. We've been here for weeks, and nothing quite like this has happened before." Mick sighed. "Yeah, that's whats worrying me."
He paused before looking at Angel with all that guilt she saw on his face before. "By the way, I'm sorry about the whole... uh... thing." Angel blinked. "What thing might this be, Mick?" Mick opened his mouth to speak again, but promptly closed it without saying anything. "...Never mind. Sorry."
Mick walked away, and Angel stared at him as he went. Angel assumed the 'thing' he was talking about was leaving her behind. Well, Angel wasn't one to hold grudges, and it wasn't like Mick chose to leave her behind! Angel knew Mick, trusted him, and she knew he wouldn't leave her behind again.
...
Angel always was a gullible person.
