With this old-fashioned burger recipe, you can go back in time. It's a classic favorite that has just the right amount of sweetness and chewiness.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup diced onions. 1/2 cup diced pickles. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 4 hamburger buns. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Ketchup. Mustard. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Season each patty with salt and pepper. Place the patties on the grill or griddle and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and let it melt. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster. Spread ketchup and mustard on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf and tomato slice on top of the sauce. Once the cheese is melted on the patties, place each patty on a bun, on top of the lettuce and tomato. Add diced onions and pickles on top of the patties. Top with the other half of the bun. Serve your classic vintage burgers with your favorite sides and enjoy!
