With this one-of-a-kind ice cream recipe, you can enjoy the delicious mix of sweet honey and savory cornbread. Creamy and rich, it has just the right amount of each flavor to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Ingredients: 2 cups heavy cream. 1 cup whole milk. 3/4 cup honey. 1/2 cup cornbread crumbs. 4 large egg yolks. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Instructions: Put heavy cream, milk, and honey in a saucepan and mix them together. Stir the mixture over medium-low heat until the honey is dissolved and it's warm. In a different bowl, beat the egg yolks with a whisk. Slowly add some of the warm cream mixture while whisking the yolks all the time to temper them. Put the egg mixture back into the pan with the rest of the cream mixture. Keep stirring the mixture over low heat until it gets thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Take it off the heat and add the vanilla extract and salt. Whisk it in. Let it cool to room temperature, then put it in the fridge with the lid on until it's cold. Once the mixture is cold, use an ice cream maker according to the directions that came with it. The cornbread crumbs should be slowly added during the last few minutes of churning. Once the ice cream is smooth, put it in a container and freeze it until it is firm.
