This giant chocolate chip and chunk cookie is the best vegan treat ever. You can share it or not! because it's soft, chewy, and full of chocolatey goodness.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup vegan butter, softened. 3/4 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 cup vegan chocolate chips. 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chunks.
Instructions: Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a medium-sized bowl using a whisk. Melt the vegan butter and mix it with the brown sugar and granulated sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth. Mix the applesauce and vanilla extract into the butter and sugar until everything is well mixed together. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a dough forms. Add the vegan chocolate chunks and chips and mix them in until they are spread out evenly in the dough. Making a big cookie, press the cookie dough into a large cast-iron skillet or a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Before you put it in the oven, heat it up. Bake it for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the middle is set. Let the big cookie cool down a bit before cutting it up and serving it.
