This recipe for Corn and Turkey Burgers with Zatar Yogurt is a tasty change from the usual burger. The turkey patties have sweet corn and fragrant spices in them, and the zatar yogurt gives them a tasty Middle Eastern touch.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey. 1 cup corn kernels fresh or frozen. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tsp cumin. 1/2 tsp paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 burger buns. 1 cup Greek yogurt. 2 tbsp zatar seasoning. Lettuce leaves and tomato slices for topping.
Instructions: Ground turkey, corn kernels, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl. Combine well. Take the mixture and shape it into 4 burger patties. On a stove or grill, heat a pan over medium-high heat. They should be cooked all the way through and have nice grill marks after 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Put the zatar seasoning and Greek yogurt in a bowl and mix them together while the burgers are cooking. You can grill or toast the burger buns until they are lightly browned. Start by putting a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Then add a turkey patty, a big dollop of zatar yogurt, and tomato slices. Put the other half of the bun on top, and serve your hot Corn and Turkey Burgers with Zatar Yogurt.
