so this is random but when I was in middle school a group of my all white friends (I attended a majority white school) sat down at lunch and they were complementing my best friend on her lips because they were so small and "cute" and we're saying shit like "omg if I was a guy I'd make out with you" "your lips are so perfect" and my best friend goes "thanks! look at hers tho!" and points to me and they literally sat there and ridiculed me because of my big lips. Coming from my BEST friends, that shit hurt and at that point I learned I hated my lips and swore to myself that I would get a reduction when I turned 18. They became my biggest insecurity for years. SOOOO a couple days ago I'm scrolling on my twitter TL and see that my ex best friend that made fun of my big ass lips is getting lip injections to "get Kylie Jenner lips" and I just wanna thank God for blessing me with lips that come to good use and don't look like an open wound
