        masika looks up from her phone - her phone, which is held precariously in her right hand and has somehow gathered all of her attention. it comes as a surprise that tony’s been calling her name for the last few seconds, and she blinks, thumb pausing in mid-scroll.

“Wow!” She beams and then playfully his shoulder. “What do you make of that? Sounds like I’m gonna get a promotion. Or at the very least find a twenty in my back pocket.” She goes to check and - surprise! - it’s full of lint. “Well, I guess that means promotion!”

      incoming; ninty pounds of pure excitement landing right on your back, tony. not that she’s very heavy or can throw herself that hard. in a fit of complete and total excitable giggles. paper being waved in front of his face too quickly to actually be read. “guess who scored sold out tickets to duran duran for less than twenty bucks ! ”

        “Where did you get this one?” She’s sitting on the floor of Tony’s room, holding up a sweater for him to see, “Hey, are you listening? Look, look,” Masika rises slightly from her spot to get his attention, “Looook, Tony. Where did you get this?”

        a slight smile that slowly expands across her face, it’s a little amusing to see how excited he could get. with how late it’d been, she had not expected a customer, and especially not the boy from a few blocks down - at the ARCADE. but company is welcome nonetheless, even if it is for just a few short moments. siya takes the bag of chips from him, swipes them carefully.

“i’ve never heard that song before,” she tells him, “what did you say the name was?”
