Note: I really want to start making monthly fic recs of my favorite JJK fics that I read to: a) keep track of the number of fics I read, and b) to promote the works to other fans in case they’re looking for recs, I know I love a good fic rec list so here’s me hoping other people find them fun and useful.

Disclaimer: The following fics are personal favorites of mine, and I’m in no way saying they’re “better” than other existing fics. Also you might have already read some of these. If you do end up checking out any of the listed fics I encourage you to leave a nice comment for the lovely author and you’re welcome to discuss the fic with me :)

WARNING: This is a fic rec list for 18+ fans only as a lot of these fics are explicit, some of these fics feature ships that some fans don’t like, like Sukuna/Megumi, beware of the ao3 tags, don’t complain to me.

Okay so here are my favorite JJK fics that I read during 2021, in no particular order.

Sukufushi.

where it is heaven 6k Rating: G

Summary: megumi was entirely geared up for the worst flight of his life, and then broken down in a second when he meets sukuna, who likes to hold his hand and is allergic to peanuts.//OR they fall in love in the cold quiet nights during a flight from japan to LA and its glass-like fragile.

Comment: super feel good, made me feel warm inside, the premise is really simple but perfectly done, megumi and sukuna have instant chemistry with each other.

2. The Agreement 27k Rating: E

Summary: “My body.”Sukuna’s eyes widened in surprise.“I’ll give you my body in return for saving Yuuji’s life."

Comment: It’s unfinished but I am intrigued about what happens next.

3. Sleeping Beauty 11k Rating: E

Summary: There’s a cute boy who lives down the hall from Sukuna and doesn’t lock his door at night.It’s cute, really. Anyone could just come in and take what they want.Even Sukuna.

Comment: What got me interested in the fandom, dark but Sukuna is delightfully obsessed and that’s my favorite.

4. In your shadows 108k Rating: E

Summary: Megumi has a stalker, and Sukuna is the bodyguard hired to protect him.

Comment: I was really invested in the development of the romantic relationship between sukuna and gumi, and some of the things the stalker does are very intriguing.

5. I'm not your doctor 10k Rating: M

Summary: Sukuna doesn't see the point of going to hospitals when there's a very pretty vet down the street who can be his personal doctor.

Comment: Love how purehearted Megumi is and how much Sukuna protects him.

6. Love thy neighbour 2k Rating: G

Summary: Sukuna has always come home to a lonely darkness. Working as a bouncer until the small hours almost every night means the rest of the world is either already asleep or completely sloshed at the very bar or club he was posted to that night. Until one night, it isn’t so dark. Until one night, cute neighbor moves in. Or: Our flats are opposite each other and your windows face mine so we always see each other making coffee at 3am AU

7. I'm already high enough (you got me, you got me good) 5k Rating: E

Summary: Megumi teaches Sukuna how to smoke by shotgunning with him. There's horny fooling around, and adorable goofing around.

8. Just Like Candy 40k Rating: E

Summary: “Eyes up here, sweetheart.”Megumi pouts but listens, forcing his eyes back on Sukuna’s face. He looks awfully smug, it’s terrible. “Your tattoos are just so sexy, daddy, I don’t know what to do with myself,” Megumi sing-songs, overly flirtatious.Sukuna’s gaze doesn’t waver, and neither does his smug facial expression. “I don’t know why you bother with these old losers when you could just be with me.”

Comment: Loved this fic so much, especially Sukuna’s character, he was such a gentleman and everything was lovely. Escort Megumi was so much fun.

9. Coffee Shop 2k Rating: T

Summary: "Megumi, it's your guy."There was this regular at their coffee shop. He always came everyday, dressed in a yukata or three-piece suit which didn't fully cover the tattoo on his body. His appearance itself already caught enough attention, but on top of that, somehow, he only wanted to be served by Megumi.

10. Put a Gun to My Head 14k Rating: E

Summary: Megumi moved in with Yuuji when he was 12. He met Yuuji's brother, Sukuna, when he was 14. Everything went downhill from there.

11. let me be your woman 6k Rating: E

Summary: Sukufushi and feminization.

12. The Proper Care of Lilacs 16k Rating: T

Summary: Yuuji convinces his brother Sukuna to pick up some flowers from his favourite shop, and Sukuna immediately falls head over heels for its lovely owner Megumi.

13. KINGSLAYER//GODMAKER 200k Rating: E

Summary: As a Rite of Passage for the Zenin Clan, Megumi is chosen to slay the Beast of the West, the King of Curses, Sukuna. Already an impossible task, it becomes a thousand times more difficult when the King decides that Megumi's worthy of his favor.

Comment: Hands down my favorite fic that I read during 2021, and in a long time. It’s a WIP, but part 1 is a perfect story. Could rant for hours about how much I love this fic, but just know the character development is amazing, the dialogue is iconic, the plot is super intriguing.

14. Heavy is the Head 5k Rating: E / Dead dove.

Summary: Newly victorious King Ryoumen Sukuna holds an audience with the usurped jujutsu sorcerers, their once-heir Megumi sharing the throne.

15. A kingdom of your throes 2k Rating: E / Dead dove.

Summary: It's only a matter of time before Master Sukuna grows bored with the human.Uraume tells themself this while sitting calmly outside the boy’s chambers, thin shoji screens doing nothing to muffle the sounds of equal pleasure and pain coming from the inside. Uraume POV.

16. Supernova 8k Rating: E

Summary: Sukuna bends Megumi's ear, bends his outlook on sorcery and life, then bends him over.or: Megumi corruption arc

17. win-win 2k Rating: E

Summary: “You really don’t value your own life at all, do you sorcerer?”Megumi tightens his jaw, his mouth a thin straight line before answering.“If it has to be someone, I’d rather it be me.”Feisty, defiant. Oh, that never fails to turn Sukuna on. Maybe Megumi doesn’t know that yet, but he will.

18. eyes on me 10k Rating: E

Summary: Here he is, leaning against the wall outside of Fushiguro Megumi’s dorm room, listening thoughtfully as the kid is getting railed by Ryoumen Sukuna, King of Curses and also, apparently, of Megumi’s asshole. There is some drawn-out moaning, stifled sobs, and the shrill sound of Megumi begging and crying out Sukuna’s name. Huh.Who knew the kid Gojou raised would grow up to be such a slut? Not him, definitely not him.

19. saccharine sweet 5k Rating: E

Summary: Fushiguro Megumi is perfect and there is nothing Ryoumen Sukuna wants to do more than ruin him. (Choking, spitting, breeding kink)

20. Cat Trap 7k Rating: E

Summary: (Yakuza boss Sukuna and Celebrity Megumi) It's a powerful feeling, to look into the eyes of one of the most dangerous men in the world and know, without a doubt, that they'd ruin it all if you asked it of them. That they love you without restraint, untethered to the limitations of basic human decency.Megumi could say that he wants to see the earth set ablaze and Sukuna would drag the sun from the sky with his teeth to do it.

21. rare and sweet 2k Rating: E

Summary: “It feels like you want them,” Sukuna says, dragging two fingers through the slick leaking down Megumi’s crack and sucking them into his mouth. “Delicious. Our children will be strong.” “Get off,” Megumi says, trying to roll out from under Sukuna, but Sukuna has him trapped. Megumi has no leverage and he yelps when Sukuna pushes Megumi’s knee even tighter against his chest.Sukuna clicks his tongue, shaking his head. “You’re being a bad omega. Submit.”

22. Rabbit hole 2k Rating: E

Summary: “Don’t spill your reward little rabbit.” Or, Sukuna fucks the thoughts out of bunny hybrid Megumi.

23. honey, TRAPPED! 7k Rating: E

Summary: (Sukuna and Gojo fuck Megumi.) Megumi isn't expecting to run into his ex while honey trapping Sukuna. He isn't expecting to be shared by them both, either.

Comment: One of my favorite PWP’s hands down.

24. The Fire God's Husband: Footprints in the Snow 22k Rating: M

Summary: In the middle of winter, while running from the Zen'in family's abuse, child Megumi disturbs a sleeping fire god and finds he's rather lonely. He promises to visit him once a week and one time he doesn't come.For the first time in centuries, Ryoumen Sukuna leaves his resting place before the snow melts.

Comment: Not quite Sukufushi since they don’t have a romantic or sexual relationship in the fic. Your heart breaks for Megumi in the story, but it’s so well written it’s a delight to read.

25. Gate to the Sun 1k Rating: E

Summary: Sukuna gains control over Yuuji's body one night and he's been waiting to have a taste of Megumi.But don't worry - he's leaving the best part for Yuuji.

Itafushi.

Sloppy Seconds 3k Rating: E

Summary: Sukuna gets to Megumi first, leaving Yuuji with sloppy seconds.

Comment: very hot smut, love Yuuji’s indignation and Megumi’s slutiness.

2. mind my wicked words 8k Rating: E

Summary: Fushiguro Megumi loves Itadori, but no one can make him feel the way Sukuna does.The guilt is overwhelming, but Megumi is good at making face and swallowing down his pride. Especially when it feels this good.

Comment: love the dynamic between itafushi and sukuna, love cuck yuuji.

3. Sukuna's Guide to Matchmaking (Sexually, then Romantically) 6k Rating: E

Summary: Please don't tell me you're in my dick," Yuuji says."I'm not in your dick," Sukuna explains. "I am your dick.""Why?""Fushiguro Megumi has meaty thighs," is all Sukuna says, and Yuuji can't tell if that's an actual answer or just something Sukuna's saying to piss him off.

Comment: sukuna thirsting over gumi will always be fun.

4. a soak, a simmer, and a burn 4k Rating: E

Summary: The summer drags on, and Itadori starts to see more leg.

Comment: Itafushi being young and in love is always great.

5. the world slows (till there's nothing left) 2k Rating: E

Summary: Fushiguro will not openly admit he’s been staying up late, waiting and hoping for Itadori to get back from a dangerous assignment early enough for him to see him.When Itadori slips into bed, Fushiguro makes good on letting him know just how much he missed him with a proper ‘welcome home.’

6. heart on my sleeve 6k Rating: G

Summary: Megumi’s throat unsticks. “You can’t—you can’t just say things like that,” he murmurs, quickly averting his gaze. “And I thought you liked girls who look like Jennifer Lawrence.”Itadori gives him an odd look. “Yeah. Girls.” He smiles sheepishly, running a hand through his hair. “Never said anything about the guys, though.”

7. heart eyes syndrome 3k Rating: T

Summary: Accidental confession under the influence of a technique.

8. Fushiguro's Got a Great Ass 4k Rating: E

Summary: Itadori is stuck by himself at a shitty party he doesn't want to be at, thinking about how much better it would be if Megumi was with him. Unsurprisingly, Fushiguro shows up.Horny antics ensue.

9. Post Football Game Fun 2k Rating: E

Summary: Yuji plays college football and Megumi realizes how hot football players are.

10. I Met ****** in the Bathroom 18k Rating: E

Summary: Nobara drags Megumi to a frat party on Halloween Night. They have fun. Meet people. Hook-up with strangers in places they shouldn't. Just another Thirsty Thursday.

Satosugu.

King, Until I am 5k Rating: T

Summary: "Your eyes may make you a king, but you’re still a man."Suguru was wrong, Satoru was a god.

Satoru/Toji

1. Confessions of a Club King 13k Rating: E

Summary: The year is 2005. Satoru is the king of clubbing. Suguru is the Nicole to his Paris. Toji is the hot, asshole bouncer that's turning him away at the door. The goal is simple: party at EleGrave, and get into Toji's pants while he's at it.

Comment: Very camp, very funny. Rare pair, and there’s some side satosugu and yutafushi.

Yutafushi

1. My Daddy's Got a Gun (You Better Run) 7k Rating: E

Summary: Yuuta thinks that theirs is a classic Romeo and Juliet love story. Megumi doesn't want to go down like that.

Comment: I just love this author to no end, even if this ship isn’t my favorite, it’s so beautifully written and I had such a good time reading it.

Nobamai

1. If Not Grief Then Love Will Bind Us 16k Rating: E

Summary: Mai decides to dogsit for her dead cousin's widow out of the kindness of her heart. But when she leaves the hustle and bustle of Tokyo behind for the dreamy, soft glamour of the French Riviera, she doesn't expect her vacay to be ruined by Nobara Kugisaki.

Comment: This fic singlehandedly got me shipping Nobara/Mai, and became one of my favorite fics of all time. It was perfect.
