who hogs the duvet
Joey. As mentioned previously, it’s mostly because his legs and arms get all tangled up in the duvet. Yugi tends to overheat at night anyway, so he doesn’t really care.
who texts/rings to check how their day is going
Both ways! They spend too much time texting each other. They’ve probably both been told off by their respective bosses for it, at least once.
who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts
Yugi. He probably goes for far-out, bizarre things that he’s picked up from various museums and vintage stores that Joey has never even heard of. His presents are always interesting and even if they sometimes confuse Jo, he appreciates them.
who gets up first in the morning
Yugi, although the pair of them are both fucking lazy and ‘first up’ is still usually at like one in the afternoon.
who suggests new things in bed
Yugi, one hundred percent. He’s into some freaky shit and most of the time, gets denied by Joey (much to his chagrin). Poor Joey and his kinky boyfriend.
who cries at movies
Yugi, again, especially when he’s drunk. Joey thinks it’s hilarious and pokes fun at him for it for hours.
who gives unprompted massages
Joey. Yugi is very easy to scoop up, plop on the couch and subject to a back-rub when he knows it’s needed.
who fusses over the other when they’re sick
Both ways. Joey’s style of fussing tends to be more focus-based (how do we make you feel better physically), whereas Yugi’s is more comforting (how do we make you feel better emotionally).

Joey. Yugi has a lot of admirers and a lot of ‘friends’ in his strange kink-circles who Joey is mildly suspicious of. It’s never a huge problem, though, because their relationship tends to be pretty open anyway.
who has the most embarrassing taste in music
Yugi (just). Mostly because his playlist has the likes of Evanescence and All Time Low on it. Joey is embarrassed.
who collects something unusual
Yugi is a collector of all things ‘vintage game’. From broken Nintendo cartilages to old, outdated consoles, his collection is vast and bizarre.
who takes the longest to get ready
Yugi. He’s very picky with his fashion and makeup, whereas Joey tends to just throw clothes on and traipse out of the house.
who is the most tidy and organised
They’re both pretty dreadful with disorganisation. They split the housework once or twice a month and blitz the house together, before letting it build up to gross levels of mess for weeks after.
who gets most excited about the holidays
Yugi. He grew up with a large family who invested in Holidays, whereas Joey didn’t. Yugi tries to share some of his holiday cheer with Joey, but similarly never forces it on him.
who is the big spoon/little spoon
Joey is big spoon, Yugi is little spoon.
who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports
They are both really, really competitive. Considering Yugi wins everything, every time, it makes it worse for Joey, who just gets more and more wound-up as their gaming sessions progress.
who starts the most arguments
Joey instigates, but Yugi doesn’t take shit for one moment. They are usually very good at talking out their problems, but when they do argue, it’s cold and snappy.
who suggests that they buy a pet
It’s a joint decision to get two cats called ‘Snurch’ and ‘Roadkill’.

RuPaul’s Drag Race, Brooklyn Nine Nine, trashy Horizon documentaries.

Mostly Seto and Atem. It gives Yugi and Atem a chance to catch up while Seto and Joey argue constantly for hours at a time.

Lots of cuddling and lounging around in each others’ arms, playing videogames, snacking, smoking weed, watching animal videos on Youtube.

Joey, technically, although it was more impulsive. Yugi had planned out a confession for weeks, but was taken by surprise by Joey, instead.

Joey. They’re for Yugi’s mini collection of flowers and potted plants on their apartment balcony.
