Even though some rules could be considered nonsense by the crowd, Riddle has come to understand that behind every single one of them there has been a deep thought put into it. The rules on tea for example, drinking lemon tea with two sugar cubes after a meal is extremely beneficial for the body. Not only does it help with digestion, it also acts as a palate cleanser from whatever meal there was before. The sugar almost feels like a small treat at the end, giving a good boost for the classes to come.
Now Riddle might no longer have to worry about classes, even though he still does, it actually worries him a lot how much work he’s missing each new day that arrives. He can only imagine how much he’ll have to catch up on when he returns. Not that it’s impossible for him, after all, he proudly considers himself the best of the best and he’ll work just as hard if not harder to make up for all the lost time. But it’ll prove to be a tiresome task, one that’ll probably push him into coming up with ways to stay awake longer than a night.
That, however, is a problem for the future. And right now all he needs to solve is the lack of sugar on his tea. In fairness, it’s his own fault that he didn’t manage to secure any while on his previous trip, granted he ran into some problems, but he still should have been a little more conscious about it.
Seeing as the store was still rather far and he was on a schedule, Riddle figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask his neighbors to lend some. He would be sure to reimburse the person later, just as the queen’s command. However, so far all he was met was with silence after every knock. It was a surprise just how busy the people of his building could get but he really needed to hurry and get some sugar fast before the tea cooled down.
His luck seemed to change after knocking on 305, even being answered by the familiar sight of someone who, above anyone else, should understand how he feels in this world after being victims of the same fate twice already.
“Ah...” A small smile appears almost automatically. Yuu was a sight to sore eyes after the last few tumultuous days, his gaze briefly looking over the other housewarden’s hair for which hair clips they were wearing that day. It was a small detail that Riddle easily followed, abiding by the rules came natural to him, even if they were someone elses.
“It seems you’re making it a habit to travel to other worlds, aren’t you, Yuu?”
