I can never get over just how rich UA is...

Like... This is a highschool! They own all this and more! They own numerous high tech equipment (think of the things used during the quirk assessment test on the first day + the little surveillance robots that tattled on Deku and Bakugo), from the movies we see they own helicopters, they own more than enough material for the support course to test on and create with (and are willing to buy and replace anything broken without any concern)

The Sports Festival stadium is massive and only used for that very Festival, Ground Beta is literally an artificial city! Ground Gamma is a forest! They've got more than enough money to support the hero students and make whatever equipment they need, and they were able to build dormitories on the fly!

And yet! I'm so glad it's Nezu that runs it, because even with all that power UA stays quite humble (hit the picture limit, but the teacher staff room is very normal, and the festivals they hold always keep the students and citizens in mind, not thinking of profit)

It's clear they're not charging their students through the roof to attend either, as Uraraka was able to become a student despite her family's financial struggles

I wish we got to see more of the other hero schools! Does Shiketsu have the same grip as UA, but for the West Coast? Is it evenly split or is UA just better well known (due to All Might)?

UA is such a fascinating school, I wish people went over it more in fics (⁠T^⁠T⁠) I might make a post describing how I world build for MHA since people have really liked all the little details I put into my writing (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠) (... Would anyone like that though?)

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it. Yuuei may be the one school that gives their kids just a tad bit more free will.

Already talked about it in another post, but the dorm rooms are individually unique. Some even were decorated that would make you think "that cannot be allowed" like Koda having a pet or Aoyama's abundance of mirrors.

Then there's the uniform bit.

Some of the students don't wear the standard shoes like Midoriya and Todoroki. Some don't wear the ties or jackets. Some wear accessories and makeup and I don't think having dyed hair is even a concern given in-universe, it's very common for people to have outlandish hair colors and styles due to quirks.

Compare Yuuei to other schools and you'll see some differences.

Shiketsu students wear their hats with their hero costumes and Ketsubutsu students' looked very uniformed when they first appeared. Same shirt worn the same way and I don't recall anyone wearing their bottoms different from their peers. Even the anime-only schools had everyone dressed the same way. The Seijin (ninja) and Seiai (all girls) schools.

Visually, it supposed to help differentiate the schools for the Provisional License Exam arc, but let's think deeper than that.

Who is the principal of Yuuei? Nezu.

Why does that matter? His backstory! He was experimented on, caged. I doubt he would want anyone to feel that way, so while he does have rules, as long as the students follow those rules they are free to express themselves.

One of the things that really annoys me about Yuuei and Boku no Hero in general is the fact that those children are breaking each other and themselves on a daily basis and at the end of the day, they're sent home by themselves. Midoriya broke three limbs at the entrance exam, nobody called his mother. Bakugou almost killed Midoriya and himself by proxy, no parents called. One of the students almost loses both arms because of a school festival? Put them under and given them surgery without contacting their guardians, then just sent them home as if nothing happened in the first place (but, please, don't forget about giving a traumatised kid MORE trauma and making sure they're not going to call you — THE ONLY PHYSICIAN ON THE WHOLE DAMM SCHOOL — if they need help). My school are one of the most underfunded public school in my area, WE HAD DEAD PIGEONS IN THE WATER TANK FOR WEEKS BEFORE SOMEONE NOTICED IT, and yet they always called my guardians when I was feeling unwell, so someone would come to pick me up or give permission to them realise me by myself. Yueei is the national school, the top leader school, the self-sufficient 'that shit is a whole damm town' school, and yet my 'we don't have P.E because the old principal stole the money from the gym reform, and now we can't go outside safely' school treated their students so much better.
