→ yuzuru’s an interesting addition into the yumenosaki cohort, but mao never thought he’d go out of his way to interact with him, and would leave them as nothing but classmates. but it seems fate has it not to be so, and with yuzuru’s frequent involvement in the student council, a tight bond builds between them.
→ ever since stepping into yumenosaki and hearing about mao, yuzuru has been intrigued by him. it’s his first time meeting someone who truly understands the need to busy himself and make himself useful. even if their difference in positions is great, yuzuru hopes to befriend mao, and maybe even forge a mutually beneficial relationship as work buddies.
→ as the two work together and also rest alongside each other, they can truly appreciate the similarities they share, and feel at home with each other’s kind and formal behavior. mao’s unrefined boyishness is something yuzuru has always wanted to emulate, and he falls for mao’s casual touches and laughter. mao, of course, cherishes yuzuru too.
→ dating is a complicated issue for the two, especially with their equally conflicting and eventful schedules. the two have never truly appreciated the need to let loose, so it’s through figuring out times to meet each other for one-to-one dates that they begin to look for time off to rest and recuperate within each other.
→ at the same time, they understand how taxing work can be, and always offer to lend a hand. yuzuru and mao have stopped pretending as if they can handle everything by themselves, and as they sort student council documents together, they talk over everything and nothing; sometimes they sit so close their elbows consistently bump, and mao can lean on yuzuru’s shoulder anytime.
→ mao is a both outwardly and inwardly kind boy, and nothing like yuzuru, as yuzuru so thinks. he doesn’t want mao’s innocent kindness to be exploited, and keeps a watchful eye out on him. those that are unkind to mao face a yuzuru from the past even mao has yet to know of.
