In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?

      Lenalee does indeed indulge in comparisons, many times to   explain the situation of the world or the situation; though lesser   known are the comparisons that she makes in silence to herself,   or in times of great crisis. 

     In this time where power decides who is to live, and who is to    part with this world, Lenalee has compared herself to lesser    beings in fits of self-criticism, most of the time this happening    whenever she has failed to measure up to expectations or failed    to save the lives of those she truly cares for.

                   She didn’t want to fight. She didn’t want their to be more blood spilled than necessary. She didn’t want to cower in fear either, pretend as if it wasn’t her problem, wasn’t her FAULT. Such a pitiful girl previously, one who was PARASITIC and wallowed in her own self-pity for years. She was sad, lonely, miserable. WAR WROUGHT with slashes now, the girl who was dead set on KILLING her, and a man who wanted the same. Attacked by assassins and constantly stalked, it was a life not worth living for most. But for her it was her ONLY life and she wouldn’t be throwing it away. Saika was drawn at this point because she felt as though there was no other choice. Anri did not waver in her stance, CONFIDENT in her abilities. She was masterful with a sword, just as the demon blade at taught her. She had strength and speed, bestowed to her as was the gift of LOVE CONFESSIONS. “Let me handle this” Anri stated her demand in a tone strict. Her sword had no sheath to discard for her body was a weapon as much as it was a cage for the demon. || @yvvknd

            Lenalee stood within the bell tower of the cathedral,    the long strands of her hair whipping around her form vigorously.    Her amethyst hues gazed upon the borough below  - a different    storm was approaching, one that none but those within the    sanctuary knew of.
