rainy day.
@ywseungho
it’s a dreary day. rain falls in spurts and bursts, the wind buffets his face and nearly throws carefully balanced boxes of deliveries out of his arms. kiyong resents even the weather in this town, but he treks on through his tasks for the day. in all honesty, it’s not too terrible of a task, and once he’s dropped off the last pie from his aunt he’s free for the day. so he does, and since he’s in town anyways, he stops by the pharmacy to dry off and warm the cold rain out of his bones.
“it sucks out there,” he announces to seungho as soon as he sees him behind the counter. “i wouldn’t have gone out if i didn’t have to.” he’s not surprised that the pharmacy is empty, save for his worker friend and himself. while it’s not devastating weather by any means, it’s just unpleasant. no one would want to go outside; kiyong only did it because he had to.
he shoves his hands in his jacket pockets and finds a lighter in there by accident. his lips press together, almost a frown, as he grasps it in his hand. he can feel everyone’s disapproval of the last cigarette on his lips. he’s trying to quit, he really is, but it was just yesterday that he screwed up again. he doesn’t tell seungho. he figures someone involved in the health industry would just scold him more anyways.
“when do you get out of here? there’s nothing to do.”
