On this day, two years ago: I was living in Calgary, drove up to Edmonton, and did a birthday ride in the North Saskatchewan River valley with this guy … bike barista, doctor, and voice of sanity in unreasonable times. I broke my $200 saddle on that ride and came close to breaking a few body parts. But it got me hooked on the #yegbike scene and the rest is history. Take life by the handlebars and enjoy the ride!

Calgary is where riding a bike really came together for me. Huge thanks to #yycbike peeps and local bike shops (especially BikeBike). Last year, after I double summitted Highwood Pass, everything on a bike started to feel a bit been there, done that. It was a bummer. Super stoked to dig into some new rides here in Edmonton.
