Infamous backyard sludge and gore director Matt Jasile is giving away some of his movies for free on his youtube page. This movie came up in discussion on my facebook group and then I noticed Matt was active online and posted a few of his movies for free to watch with links to order others. This is the infamous homemade demonic epic BACK FROM HELL from 1993. Evil Dead meets Darkness a vampire version. This is vhs shot on video homemade horror at a high light , nasty , gross yet honest . Non actors giving it up with some Fulci Beyond horror elements and music but in the quality of Things.
A priest with a chainsaw, a possessed cop that sounds like he is doing a fat albert impression, wonderfully grain film quality and a reminder that shot on video horror movies needs to have at least one guy in jogging pants or a guy with blood on his face while wearing large sunglasses at all times. Bonus if they are the same guy.
Plot: A Priest ( played by an almost hilarious deadpan and constantly shocked actor) has gone to visit an old friend but finds out that the old friend has gotten himself mixed up in a battle with Zombies, Possessed cops and Satan himself. The two locked themselves down trying to fix the mistake and a lot of thunk sound effects are heard as they hack and slasher there way, through thick dark red corn syrup splattered blood, to freedom for their souls.
Oh and let me say there is a scene where the priest fights the book when a hand pops out of it that is so epic and hilarious you will be so glad that they put paper down for some reason.
Oh yeah Satanic Ninjas! .. Kinda...
Z grade wonderful horror like it should be. This movie has the guts... and its uploaded for free by the director so the question now is DO YOU have the guts???
