I am just obsessed with blonde Eddie. Teenage Eddie growing out his hair and it’s kinda wavy and blonde. Richie tugging on it and calling him ‘blondie’, all smirky and self-satisfied. As he gets older, it gets darker like most hair but he secretly misses his blonde. When Eddie finally moves to LA and he gets highlights and Richie thinks it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Just blonde Eddie is elite.

Okay, I’m not one for using harsh words online so ignore my censoring but:

I am sick to death of seeing people complaining about other people’s interpretations and characterisation of Eddie Kaspbrak. First off, I do not see any problem with people having differing opinions on his character, however, my problem stems from the fact that people are spending hours harassing other creators over the way they portray him.

It especially annoys me when it becomes evident that a lot of these people have never read the book so are not familiar with the actual source text and are basing all of their beliefs on the most recent film adaptations. Again, I see no problem with this in principle, however I’m not 100% keen on Andy Muschietti’s version of Eddie either (but that’s for another post.)

So effectively if you read an interpretation of a character that you dislike, especially if this is someone portraying Eddie as sensitive and softer, I kindly ask that you close the tab and leave the writer the F alone. And maybe pick up the Fing book and read the Fing source text. Thanks.

So my personal life just took a turn for the worse and I’m really struggling so I’m probably not going to be very active for a little while. Sorry, please don’t unfollow me, I promise I’ll be back in August with my arms overflowing with writing but for now, I really have to prioritise surviving the next few weeks :(

Crying myself to sleep for the first time since I was eighteen, hmm I wonder whether this has anything to do with the fact I’m staying with my parents for the first time since then too. 4 weeks until I move back out and never fucking come back

1 - I am actually named after my Nan and my Great Nana and while I hate my name, I’m really glad I got to share something with them.

3 - Soooooo many fictional characters but since this blog is mainly for IT things, I’m going to say Eddie Kaspbrak because I am a massive hypochondriac because of the way my mother raised me.

5, 11, & 15 🌼

5 - I do not have any plants because I am an extremely irresponsible plant parent and I have killed every plant I’ve ever owned but I really want to buy more. My housemate just got a Swiss Cheese Plant and I love him so much.

11 - Hmm, I’m not entirely sure that I have favourite colours, they change so much. I’d definitely say yellow because when I’m in a good mood then I’ll wear bright yellow all the time. Apart from that I love red and I’m a big fan of dark green.

15- My mood in emojis would have to be 😔😭 because I’m on my period and I am not a fan of that. And also 🤬 because all my housemates are pissing me off
