I just read a fic where Richie was jealous of the other losers cause they had good parents.

Are we talking about the same Losers Club?

I’m going by movie canon but Bev’s father literally molest her. Eddie’s mom is diagnosed with Munchausen by proxy. Bill’s parents are actually neglectful. Mike doesn’t have parents. Stan’s dad is putting so much pressure on him, and made him cry in one of the deleted scenes.

Zach finished high school, but didn’t apply to college. He got a job at a gas station, and worked to keep Shannon and Bill safe. Eventually, he got a better job, got a nice house, and was done. He felt he’d finished, done his job as a parent and husband. He carried that with him until the day he died. He was a good person, or so he thought, because he’d done everything expected of him as a parent. Shannon died convinced he ruined her life. Both parents shunted the blame on Bill. (2/2) - 💕

I also think like, Zach was awful to Bill bc of he fact that he thinks he only has to work so hard because of Bill's existence. I think he had a really short temper because he stressed himself on the wrong aspects of being a father, mostly just the financial responsibility but he was never really close to Bill, and his marriage with Sharon wasn't even good because he probably didn't even wanna fully end up with her forever, she was just the hot chick he wanted to bang at prom, not raise an accidental child w
