No, yeah, perpetuate the idea that Stan is an uptight priss who has nothing but disdain for Richie’s antics, that’s exactly what they WANT you to think. This is how they get away with all their shenanigans: Richie’s the distraction while “mature, responsible” Stanley executes their pranks and/or petty crimes under the radar, and nobody suspects a thing. They haven’t paid for anything at the pharmacy since they were 12 and Bill still hasn’t figured out who keeps raising the seat on Silver all the way up whenever he’s not looking.

Eddie would NOT have been let out of the house with a broken arm, especially to see his friends. Bev was also probably in the same situation; while she wasn’t hurt, she definitely would’ve been in some shit for running around with all the boys.

it chapter 2 sucked i can't believe i wasted months of my life up it's ass. the plot was bad nearly everyone's characterization was bad the acting was bad don't get me started on eddie's character arc being given away. anyways the only IT that exists in my mind is the book and it 2017. andy muschietti if i ever see you i'm going to strangle you with my bare hands for what you did to chapter 2 you're never seeing heaven

losers club in a gc

Bill: bill spams the gc with nonsense at one in the morning. he never sleeps so he’s literally active all the time. he has never proofread a single thing he’s ever written so every single message he sends is just rhkbsgkjv and the losers have to translate that into english. he responds to everything the other losers send because he doesn’t want them to feel forgotten or ignored

Mike: mike is a hardworking farm boy with lots of chores and shitty cell service, so he’s rarely active. sometimes he’ll pop in to send a wholesome meme to his friends or wish one of them good luck on some upcoming event, but most of his interaction with the losers is in person. he gets nervous about missing out on inside jokes and experiences, so the losers are extra careful to keep him filled in on everything that happens

Ben: since mike, the resident therapist for the losers club, is absent most of the time, it’s ben’s job to help out with any late-night meltdowns or rants, and he’s pretty good at it. mike’s approach to a friend’s crisis is to talk it out and help them sort through their feelings, which is nice in person but difficult to do over text. ben’s solution is more to calm his friends in the moment and help them stop spiraling until they can talk in person

Eddie: eddie texts either one word or an entire paragraph, no exceptions. he has lots of thoughts and needs to get them out right now. he just has so many feelings, and his friends are the only ones who he feels like he can tell them to. some of his rants are angry or sad, but a lot of them are just eddie trying to put the ideas swirling around in his head into words, and the easiest way for him to do that is to share his heart with his best friends

Bev: bev texts exactly like she talks, in all caps. to her, everything she shares with her friends is very urgent and important!! she likes to get out of the house and go on adventures a lot, so she’s not as active as bill, but she’s pretty much always got her phone on her. even though she doesn’t always read everything right away, the first thing she does every morning is catch up on everything that happened in the gc the night before, because sis cares about her friends <3

Richie: richie doesn’t speak in words so much as he speaks in images. he considers himself a meme connoisseur. he doesn’t really start conversations, but he has such a wide variety of reaction images that he has something for literally every situation. the losers have never seen the same picture twice. once, stan stole richie’s phone and found out he had 1,274 screenshots in his gallery. when stan asked about it, richie just shrugged and  said “i have unlimited storage”

Stan: stan writes in the group chat like he’s writing to the fucking senate. he uses perfect grammar, syntax, and punctuation. he corrects every spelling mistake or typo he sees, because he’s an asshole. if someone makes a mistake, he’s the first one to make fun of it, and then everyone else will make fun of it. he also changes the name of the gc like once a week and no one knows why
