peter awoke today like normal, maybe he’d piss off aiden or go for a long swim to see his vampire friend, zach. he could do so much, school was off and it was a free day. maybe he’d go track down phe or jeremy or just... anyone. so much to do, but he was thirsty and he needed water. ducking out to the closest water source he jumped and swam under, not realising until his lungs started to fill with water and he splashed up to the surface, looking down and seeing legs. seeing clothes that were weighing him down and he could barely stay afloat. he climbed to shore and slapped himself to make sure he wasn’t dreaming, or nightmare? his eyes widened because he was so thirsty and as a rabbit passed by him, he felt his teeth shift and fangs elongate from his mouth which made him scream in pain. 

shaky fingers went up to his mouth to feel and to his teeth and peter cringed when he felt fangs. it made him sob as he frantically looked around for anyone for an explanation. what was he? a monster? he must be. he ran through the forest, frantically crying and unable to quench his thirst with anything. but there was another animal that passed by, peter leaped and the next thing he remembered was pulling back with warm blood dripping from his chin and looking at the person in front of him in horror. ‘i-i-.. i’m sorry! i don’t... i didn’t..’ he sobbed, falling to the ground, looking down as if he was too ashamed to look them in the eye. ‘help me! help me! i don’t know what happened. i need help!’

     Her breathing is heavy, coming out in short pants through her parted lips. Zach is taller, much taller than she is, so it’s a challenge not only to take him down but to keep him there. One that she absolutely adores. It is how she finds herself half draped over him, one knee on the mat while the other holds down his hipbone, her thigh pressed to his abdomen. Chris has to stretch herself almost fully to keep his wrists pinned down, which brings them so intimately close.

The thought slips her in the shape of a voiced question after the realization. They’re both too good and too stubborn to admit defeat after being dropped, so their sparring sessions always end up with them rolling around on the mat trying to get the upper hand. “We do, don’t we..?” She muses if only to keep the casual conversation going, to distract her from how wonderfully enticing this is.

She is well aware that Zach could turn the tables on her anytime, her stance too spread to be able to put as much force as she needed to truly pin him down. A piece of knowledge that does not help her self restraint any. He’s already too gorgeous, with his stunning eyes and his easy smile, that chiseled face and his sculpted muscles. The most unlikely combination of a masterful fighter and an absolute sweetheart. All in all, too much for her to resist.

What breaks her composure entirely, however, is the way he licks his lip. It draws a tiny little whimper from deep within her chest and before she knows it, Chris is kissing him, the slow and sensual nature of it at odds with how her heart is thundering inside her chest. By the time the lack of air forces her to pull away, she notices how her body has shifted to properly straddle his hips, instinctively pushing forward slightly to bring them flush against one another. She gazes into his eyes searchingly, hoping that she hasn’t misread him and crossed a hard line they can’t come back from.
