Now how about J. A. M. I. L. For the a-z asks :3c (yes I do think myself very clever for these HAHAH)
Hehe I love it thank you 🥰💖
A-Z of Mannerisms/Behaviors
J. Judge: Is your character quick to judge other characters on their mannerisms, or do they prefer to get to know someone before judging?
Jamil always makes snap judgements about people, it was something he was taught to do growing up, however, he never lets his initial impressions cloud his first experience with a person, and prefers to judge them based on who they really are after having met them.
A. Accent: What accent does your character have? Are there any words or phrases they use more often than other people? How good is your character at imitating other accents and sounds?
He has a very light, North Prakran accent as that's where he was born and raised for the first decade or so of his life, but he's spent so much time out of Prakra/speaking other languages primarily, that it's not extremely noticeable. Since he started learning other languages from a very young age, he is very good at imitating sounds from other languages that might differ from his native Prakran. He tends to adopt the accent of a native speaker wherever he goes, though his speech is usually very formal.
M. Muse: Does your character talk when they’re alone, or to inanimate objects?
I. Impression: What do other characters first think of your character, based on their body language and way of speaking? Is this first impression usually accurate?
This depends on the context of the first meeting!
If someone is meeting Jamil at a formal event, some kind of party or masquerade, or charity event, basically anywhere that impressions, manners, and etiquette matter, he is going to come off extremely well put together, and like he was born into that world (because, well, he was). He knows how to engage in polite conversation even when others are not being polite in return, and comes across as warm and charming, if not a bit detached. His posture is always perfect, hair slicked/braided/pulled back out of his face, beard neatly trimmed, clothes perfectly fitted and made just for him (by him, usually).
However, if someone meets Jamil while he is out in the city, performing with the rest of the band, perusing the marketplace/red market, or just hanging out at the shop, he is going to come off much more relaxed, and most people who meet him first this way are surprised to later learn about his "other side" and his background. He knows how to open up around others when possible, and enjoys entertaining those around him. Though good posture is basically engrained in him, he will relax a bit, leaning against walls or his friends, his hair is usually down, and his clothes are looser and not as intricately designed.
Neither is completely accurate/inaccurate, both impressions are very much who Jamil is!
L. Location: Does your character use any regional slang? Are any mannerisms more common in their home location than in other places?
As he's spent the majority of his life traveling, Jamil uses slang from all over the map, depending on how comfortable he is with the language/how long he spent around it. Most of his slang comes from Venterre as that's where his family is, and it's also where he picked up specific mannerisms. The D'Oria all click their tongue in the same way when speaking, usually to show some sort of dismissal in their tone, and both Jamil and Camia picked this up when they were very young. (Alec and Leon picked it up from them later on.)
He did pick up a few mannerisms from Prakra, but they were focused around his hair and after cutting it, he lost them (not that he particularly cares).
