One of my favorite things about Moriarty the Patriot is the little character quirks so many characters have. They have nothing to do with the plot, they don't even do anything substantial to characterize them. They're just small little quirks and habits that stem from their individual personalities and serve to make them feel so much more real.
Like Albert in the beginning of ch2 having drawn Liam a way-too-detailed map that even Liam can barely use anymore.
Like Bonde being habitually late to everything always.
Like Charles Augustus Milverton being habitually early on accident.
Like Patterson always correcting his glasses in the same way because he's a smoker.
Like Liam not littering in the bonus comic in Vol 14.
Like Lestrade being into puppet theater.
There are probably more I just can't think of right now. But they never get particularly addressed within the story or by other characters, they're pretty minor but they're still there and they characterize them as people and I love it.
(Fred's love for cats might have stuff to do with his backstory, so I'm not mentioning it officially)
