Ivan is tall, with a thick frame and broad shoulders. He has accumulated fat that hugs his otherwise toned features and has a soft stomach, thighs, and love-handles. Past his pudge is firm, well-built muscle that grants him his natural physical strength. His hands are large, callused, and riddled with nicks and scars from long years spent doing physical labour. On top of that, Ivan has a thick and prominent nose, pronounced eyebrows, and a strong jaw that punctuates an otherwise soft face. His eyes are blue with a violet shade to them, which is accentuated under certain lighting. His hair is short and light blond with a feather-y wave to it. In demeanour, Ivan is akin to a gentle giant, unless provoked—looming over others with an air of curiosity and inquisitiveness. His lack of smile, however, can often make him seem unapproachable or unsettling when coupled with his stoic features.
His wardrobe consists of heavy, fur-lined coats, thick knitted jumpers, worn tank tops, plenty of neutral t-shirts, a tailored suit or two, heavy-duty boots, and plenty of Adidas merch. Ivan does not always wear his signature beige scarf, especially if the weather is warm. In fact, during the summer, he enjoys wearing clothing that lets his arms breathe and he doesn't mind letting it get dirty or worn. In winter, he dons many layers to keep himself warm for extended periods of time out in the snow. Face-to-face with coworkers in a more formal setting, he breaks out his tailored suit, which is a bit old and dusty, but it does the job.
Ivan is a quiet and standoffish person, at least on the surface. His size and harsh expression usually give off an air of wariness or even an intimidating aura that he often uses to his advantage. He is incredibly good at hiding his emotions or his motivations when the need arises. To say he has a "mask" would be accurate. He can be simplistic in his goals and motivations, but at the same time can show an insatiable curiosity or a detached harshness that is typical of that of a child. He can be uncharacteristically gentle, but also incredibly cold. He is extraordinarily competitive and enjoys a good game or challenge.
When meeting new people, he can best be described as a "schoolyard bully." He will poke and prod relentlessly at someone to gauge a reaction and establish what their boundaries are. Obviously, this approach can cause strife with the more sensitive individuals. With friends, he lightens up considerably, and can even be characterised as rather fun-loving and jovial, a gracious host. He enjoys drinking and playing games with his friends, which are few and far between, and, as a result, are cherished. However, his good mood can switch in an instant if he feels threatened or feels the need to defend himself. He is driven and intently focused on what he wants, and is not above doing whatever is necessary to get it.
HOME(S): Nowadays, Ivan has two homes. One is his flat in Moscow which is part of an old, nine-story complex. It is very small, cramped, but manageable. It consists of a bedroom, kitchen, living/dining room, and balcony. Ivan is hardly one for keeping his living space tidy and organised—it is in a constant state of chaos. He will clean a little in preparation for company. His second home is his dacha, or country house, which is far outside the city centre. It is a colourful wooden building next to a small lake where he spends weekends away during the warmer months. There, he tends a vegetable garden and has his own self-built banya room, or Russian sauna, to relax and recuperate in.
PET(S): Currently, he owns one pet. Murka (Мурка) is a large, long-haired Siberian cat. She usually splays herself across his broad shoulders and has a calm, gentle disposition. She hardly ever hisses, but has a tendency to yowl. Due to her unusually massive size and the weight of all her fur, he will sometimes pick her up and annoy her by doing multiple reps. His flat is covered in her long hair, which is constantly shedding. Despite that, Ivan adores her.
SKILLS / HOBBIES: Whittling, knitting, building, woodworking, shooting, hunting, lifting, football, ice hockey, chess, FPS/survival video games, and essentially any job that requires physical labour or brute strength he has a natural knack for.
