This combination works unbelievably well. Zajal is an Arabic tradition going back at least around a thousand years in which you recite poetry in a colloquial dialect, and it is often improvised and performed in a back-and-forth debate or "battle". It is most active in Lebanon although a lot of countries have traditions of this too.
Basically this tradition is like a thousand-year-old battle rap tradition so it blends seamlessly with rap.
I seriously want the fusion of this tradition with rap to be more of a thing, this remix slaps. Also, what they are talking about kinda fits with the vibe / spirit of rap battles too.
