ZALBUM!!

News of the day is definitely Zayn's album, Icarus Falls, which we learned late last night will be available for presales tomorrow and in general release Dec 14. It has 27 SONGS which wow, is a lot of songs, all the singles are in there, and a brand new song, Rainberry, is available now for streaming! Icarus, of course, was the mythical man who built himself wings to escape captivity but, caught up in the joy of freedom, flew too close to the sun and fell, losing everything. Ouch. Rainberry, on the other hand, is a Gatorade flavor.

In any case, there has not been an actual announcement of the album release or content. The news was "leaked" in weird back channel ways and there has been no official acknowledgment or promo. Mood of the day is: very happy and excited about the new material, very unhappy and stressed about Zayn's team and apparent situation. There seems, as yet, to be no intention by the label of promoting or supporting the music. Speculation includes the idea that it's a dump of all his current material to satisfy contractual obligations. Will there be any promo for this upcoming release? Will Zayn post anything but modeling updates? Meanwhile we got Zayn out here just liking posts about the whole thing and not saying shit like the little troll he is.

And in non-Zayn news of the day, Liam raised eyebrows by interacting with a Kardashian on IG for the second recent time and performed on X Factor Italia with Jonas Blue, and Louis manager Mark Gillespie launched his own Sony imprint record label which is seen as an awfully convenient option for Louis if he were somehow to be leaving Syco... Naturally we have no idea if he is but this move seems to some like it could fit into the narrative that has been speculated all year, that TXF gig was a trade for a label switch, so many are very invested in this development. We also learned that Louis will be on the cover of House of Solo magazine in Jan or Feb which fits with one popularly speculated timeline for his album release.
