Inspirational words from Zantara The Lion
''You look lonely..''
i told @vaultsixtynine that i'd post the screenshots of the imported character data from the game files on here, so ta-da! ariste and feyd are my control subjects before i reveal zantara's spoilery face below the cut.
now, feyd's is a bit weird because there's three versions of him floating around in the files. they all have identical facial features, but the first is ginger with a different hairstyle and stubble, the second has dark brown hair with light brown eyebrows, and the third has all dark brown hair. in cinematics, he seems to have dark brown or black eyebrows, but they do look lighter in the "normal" convo bit so i've no clue which one's right until we get a proper look at him in normal lighting. i went with dark brown eyebrows but feel free to change that.
and here are the links for anyone who wants to import these into the cc maker and mess around with them. they do use values unavailable outside of editing the json files directly, which i don't think is a violation of the tos... but just a warning to be careful if you do actually go through character creation with them.
the notes file explains which file is for which - i couldn't get the files to show up in the cc import with "savedcharacter[date]" as the name, hence the filenames.
below the cut is zantara's face, so don't click if you want to avoid spoilers. he does actually use a normal tattoo and scar, but i had to pick a random hairstyle because his cc info doesn't include one (though it does have his hair colour and eyebrow colour).
I just want a reality where Zantara is okay again...
I will settle for a ghola. Hell I'd settle for a thinking machine with his memories in it.
Dune Awakening spoilers, obviously.

i keep thinking about how adab is a really specific thing for zantara to say upon seeing the mc's face. it's not an chakobsa exclamation or swear, like we see him say (more than once) in carthag. dune's glossary defines it as "the demanding memory that comes upon you itself". what memory is zantara reminded of when he sees the mc?
whenever the alshaahid akadhib is mentioned, he's very adamant about that prophecy being complete nonsense. the third line is clearly about that, and i'm pretty sure that the second line is too. but we know ari takes a very different stance on it so... whatever ari deemed "just a dream" can't be the same thing as the prophecy. zantara later tells us that spice dreams can be "potent" and he clearly really dislikes prescience/prophecies (to the point he doesn't mention the connection between the two), so might it be a spice dream that made him feel adab in that moment?
it feels especially relevant that the mc is the only prisoner to survive the crash - zantara kills one, and tells the mc to kill any others they come across. he doesn't sheathe his crysknife after killing the first prisoner either and the journal makes it clear the mc thought he was going to kill them. it feels a lot like that moment of adab is what stopped him from killing the mc too - and, given i suspect he's talking to stilgar in the intro, we might just learn what that was about once we track him down.
