hey are you uh ok? that's a lot of caffeine in a short amount of time and then a clonazepam which I had to look up but it says it's for like panic attacks and calming down, and that's your third in 24 hours sounds like a lot (also I have narcolepsy/apnea and was at one point on actual prescribed stimulants so I know my caffeine). just wanted to reach out and make sure you're okay and see if u needed anything. I’d bet they’re made the same way! It’s actually a very common clay practice to make “canes” which are exactly like that glass piece but...with clay. People use them to make tiles and also like fruit slices and flowers and stuff. Of course I’ve never seen it done with glass and that’s some real skill cause that’s really detailed work and one wrong move can mess up the entire thing.

so i really wanted to see it done, assuming we had been right, and it turns out it is SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING AND DIFFICULT.

June - what is the best thing you’ve ever experienced?

Definitely when, in my creative class, we initiated people by showing them the tiny shrine to Danny DeVito that someone had made one of the old cigar boxes she had. If you were in one of her classes, you would eventually learn about the DeVito Shrine. And that’s the best thing I’ve ever experienced because it was basically being in a writing cult and would talk vaguely about the shrine.

23 - what is your favorite app?

Um, probably Serial Box? I dont’ really use my apps on my phone that much beyond YouTube and Spotify and such when I’m on the go but I really enjoy the audiobooks on Serial Box and it means i get to listen to Orphan Black while driving so that’s pretty neat.

Thanks for the ask! There were some difficult choices to make for this but I feel pretty good about my choices. 

get randomly assigned as your lab partner for a whole semester: Cosima, for obvious reasons. She’s a science nerd, i’m a science nerd, we would get along famously and wreak havoc on the class while still getting good grades.

get trapped with on a broken elevator for ten hours: Sarah, because she probably has some awesome stories to keep the two of us entertained. Alternatively, she might also try to break out and I want that strength on my side.

get as my employee trainer for my new job at McDonalds: Alison, because I know she gives directions to a T and that’s what I need to be able to work properly. The only downside is the potential Karen energy.

(Gonna do the others too because I’m in a mood this morning)
