“Your Mummy may not be here to slap you on your arse when you get cheeky, love, but don’t think I won’t.” He clicked his tongue and winked, patting the wood finish for emphasis.

Marcel shifted uncomfortably in his seat and chuckled, his nerves beginning to take over. “Y-You’re funny, Mr. Malik.” He rubbed the back of his neck, not finding it humorous. “I didn’t mean to be, cheeky was it? I was s-simply stating that I am not a kitten. I’m a man,” he cleared his throat and put some bass in his voice as he finished his sentence.

Zayn threw his head back and guffawed, then stopped. He leaned across to grab Marcel’s chin, not too hard but not gentle either.

His cognac-amber eyes brighter than ever when he whispered, “You’re whatever the fucking hell I say you are, love. And dropping a pitch of your chatting voice won’t stop me from doing whatever I want. I got you. You are mine. Do you understand me?” He gripped his face tighter.

Those eyes bored into Marcel’s very soul, hypnotizing and compelling him to agree. He whispered a yes into the air, bringing a smirk to Zayn’s face.
