Resource guarding is behavior caused when a creature believes it has something valuable and must protect it at all costs.

Signs of resource guarding include: chin lowered over resource, suddenly freezing in the middle of eating, frantic ingestion, and running away with the resource.

If these low level signs are ignored, the creature will escalate to snapping, biting, and killing.
