Ok. None of this seems like a huge deal. He called her LUV!!! And it’s nice that Liam actually acknowledges that Zayn has left the band; he’s the only one of the 4 that has ever done so. I’m glad he feels like he can joke about it. But hell, Andy jokes about being on fire so I think that’s how they handle the hard stuff. The crazy thing is... this was far from over!
As I said, some people didn’t think it was very funny, and apparently one of those people was Naughty Boy. Shahid posted this extremely subtle indirect:
Umm... not really sure why NB got pissed, the only thing I can come up with is that he thought that Liam was comparing Zayn’s talent to the guy in the video? I didn’t take Liam’s post as shade at Zayn, but somehow Shahid did, so we got this little number. Almost flew under the radar tho. To be honest, I didn’t even notice the pic (and I’m following NB on twitter) until we got this retaliation from everybody’s favorite sassmaster:

Naughty Boy decides to live up to his name and takes a swipe below the belt with this articulate argument:

To which Naughty Boy thinks bragging will be a big enough comeback, but Louis serves it back to him with a side of smug satisfaction:
Ok, we’ve seen this kind of bullshit before from Louis and Naughty Boy before. Not sure which dog they’re wagging today, but I’m sure it’s modest! approved. Moving on... wait... WTF??!!
Okay, first off, regardless on the twitter trends, Zayn just fucking SLAYED Louis. I think this is why so many fans were hurt by this tweet, because let’s be honest, it was the best of the whole lot in terms of smack down. But wtf Zayn? You haven’t put anyone on blast on twitter since you called Max George chlamydia boy! So what does it all mean???
I have a couple different schools of thought, because I’m not sure yet if I think this whole thing is orchestrated by SyCodest or not. If it is, then there’s no real explanation needed. Drama= attention for all involved. Endears Louis further with the fandom. Strengthens the OT4 vibe. Secures Zayn’s badboy image. Etc, etc.
If the guys are acting/tweeting on their own, then Naughty Boy and Louis are just being their usual reactionary pop star selves, and Zayn is probably about sick of it. Zayn piped in at the comment about “riding the back of someone else’s career,” which is probably the most hurtful thing Louis said to Shahid. One of the responses I find the most interesting in all this is Shehroze’s:
This kind of made me sad for some reason. Like maybe if this isn’t a management stunt, and Zayn is really tired of all the hate being spewed in Naughty Boy’s direction, Louis was the last person he thought would join in? Because they’re supposed to be friends still? I don’t even know what’s motivating all of them right now. And I may never know. But this kind of thing is really unfortunate from all angles.
