Madumetsa Jack Mogale (1968-?)
Madumetsa Jack Mogale, also known as the West-End Serial Killer, is a South African serial killer who killed 16 people in 2008-2009. On February 17, 2011, Mogale was convicted of 61 charges relating to 16 murders, 19 rapes and 9 kidnappings. He committed his crimes near his home in Westonaria and Lenasia, south of Johannesburg. At trial, he is quoted as saying: “I didn’t do anything. You know how life is, this is a challenge, I didn’t do any of those things. I don’t even known those women.” 2 of “those” women survived his attacks and testified at trial that Mogale had claimed to be a Zion Christian Church preacher and a prophet. He received multiple life sentences without the possibility of parole. As he left the court, he shouted to the families of his victims: “You are also coming, I pray. I will be out soon.”
