@zebeslight
Dark eyes watched the sky, tracking a streak fire plummeting towards the ground.
It was a beautiful sight, but Lan was glad he was miles away from the impact sight. It seemed like it was slowing down, but he didn’t doubt that it was still going to leave one hell of a crater. His fingers quietly tapped on his yanmaodao’s hilt as the mystery object roared down to the earth.
It couldn’t be a meteorite. Too slow for it’s size. He was glad of that. If a house sized meteorite sipped through the sky and hit Remnant, and he was this close to it? He’d probably be vaporized.
Lan stood from his squat as it drew closer, mind made up. He was going to find out what it was, and take as much of it home as he could as a souvenir. It was hopefully interesting, maybe dangerous, possibly valuable. More than enough of a reason for him. He reached for his semblance, Remnant’s gravity lost hold of him, and leapt.
More aura, and more than one gravity pulled him towards the thing even as it crashed, sending out a plume of smoke and dust, and a cacophony of noise as it finally reached the ground.
Lan had to carefully regulate his speed. His semblance could be used for travel, and it had many advantages over more common speed increasing semblances. One thing it didn’t have going for it though was it offered him no extra protection from the speeds he was traveling at than what his aura already granted. He didn’t need to light himself on fire and repeat that crash in miniature, or turn himself into jelly when he touched down for another overly long leap.
He let himself slow down as he got closer to the crater. He could see it from on high; fire, metal, glass? The angle it had come in on, and from how high... he knew of no airship that could do such a thing. He touched down a few feet short of the crater, and it’s obviously worked contents.
Lan enjoyed working on machines, but the one in front of him wasn’t anything he’d ever seen. He couldn’t tell what the thing’s original shape was, but he saw lights and some bizarre- engine? Completely unlike anything he’d ever seen. He sniffed the air. It didn’t even smell like a dust reactor. What the hell was he looking at?
He turned his head smoothly as he heard some piece of rubble shift. Out climbed, someone, something. Something metal, orange and red, hissing steam, dented, and sparking in a few places crawled out from under the shifted bulkhead. A single five fingered hand, a slender waist, broad shoulders, a green, semi-translucent visor, and what looked an awful lot like an over-sized gun barrel jutting out where another hand would be on a human or faunus. Was it a machine? An armor?
He was getting excited; this was all something new, something he’d never so much as heard of. He waved at the thing as it stood up, wondering if it would understand him, wondering if it would attack him. That too, could be fun.
“That’s an awful nice crater you’re in.” He said. “You hurt, whoever you are?”

zebeslight replied to your post: @pyrrhaic-victory doesn’t think I’m invincible,...
you’re not invincible, you heckin nerd. also that’s some serious train-ing you’re going to be doing-
What’s the world coming to, when even Samus says I’m not invincible? As someone whose blown up planets before, she should know better.
