You blink, and then it's gone, like it was never there in the first place. You think yourself completely nutter, probably a figment of your sleep-addled imagination. Must be the heat getting to you, you think to yourself. But the word 'heat' brings up something entirely different; you remember bare feet across hot wood, a guitar a lit with flames, cravings on your favourite tree, the rush of water over you. All these memories came like a film without sound; you watch, and remember a silhouette. You smile. So does she. Then came a child, with bright eyes, but dimmed by a worry you could not understand. A woman stands beyond your reach. A man walks, not alone, but age as his companion. You see her tears. You see her ring. You see everything. The boy moves, with a courage you do not have.
