Zeekio Type C Replacement Yo-Yo Bearing
Best Budget Unresponsive Throws
Some professional yo-yo's can cost upwards of $70. Not everyone can afford throws like that. This post is for those people. Here are the two best throws (one plastic, one metal) that you can get for under $30.
MagicYoYo Purple Line -$18 (Metal)
It seems to be a commonly held point of view, dare I say, common misconception, that MagicYoYo is a "cheap" company, and their yo-yo's "can't hold a candle to premium companies like CLYW". This could not be further from the truth, especially since they're made in the same factory, on the same machines. The MagicYoYo Purple Line is one of the highest performing yo-yo's for the price. Bead-blasted finish, and smooth as butter (I'm not kidding, you can't even feel the thing spinning). For $18, you really can't get a better throw. One drawback: it doesn't actually come in purple (I know, right?).
YoYo Zeekio Spectre - $25 (plastic)
This is hands-down the best plastic throw I've ever used. The bearing seat and fingerspin cup are made of metal, while the body is made of a durable polycarbonate. So this thing will SPIN; through fingerspins, grinds, sleepers, you name it. Although it was designed to be unresponsive, I've discovered that you can put a slim C-size bearing in it, and it becomes a killer responsive throw as well. Similar to the aforementioned Purple Line, it's so smooth you can't even feel the thing spinning. But unlike the Purple Line, this yo-yo only comes in purple (at least the metal part does).
